Podcasts

Umm I wasn't sure where to put this..... I was wondering if the Podcasts were ever going to be continued or if they are dead. I liked listening to them and they had a weekly thing going for like 4 weeks only and now its dead is it ever coming back?

 

I'd be willing to start them up again, seeing as I have a mic set up. I could even do a japanese word/phrase of the week. Or maybe teach some basics. What does everyone think? I'd totally be up for a weekly thing and I got the resources.

 

The podcasts are open to whom ever wants to make them. You'd probably want to pm one of the admins or super-mods to get full details on the rules for making them though.

I was going to do some this year, but i never got around to it what with my last year of college and all that. I had an idea to do interviews with some of the admins and other well known members of the site, which i thought would have been a laugh to get to know them better.

 

Yeah Hiro, I think that would be real cool with the Japanese phrase of the week. I really liked the old ones wit Seishin when they would do reviews and stuff so if you kept that I would be a happy camper

 

I think we should take a poll of the different things people would like to hear in the podcasts. We could use this thread for suggestions then make a poll that included different options and then from the poll results make the basic outline of the podcast. I'd be willing to do the podcasts and actually add some fun things like Japanese phrase of the week as well as the hip fad/trend of the week (straight from a friend in japan whom I know through my japanese class sensei). I could even do interviews as well as post some videos and maybe some music. And maybe even hook up some contests with the BJP store. Of course all of this through the approval of Cloud and such.

 

They all sound great Hiro. I think that it would be cool to know whats up over in Japan and to know that its true is even better I think that it would be awsome to get the Podcasts back up since the last one was like from 5 months ago!

 

well if anyone would like to PM me with suggestions I can make a "sample" podcast so that I can run it by Cloud or whomever I have to get approval from and we can work from there.

 

Double post on purpose. Forgive me but I doubt an edit would gain much attention now-a-days. But I was thinking that I could maybe make a video podcast instead of a straight podcast. I could post it on youtube and have short clips and such or maybe add some hiragana or katakana (maybe even kanji). Or even show the new trends and such. Of course the first step would be getting out a straight podcast without a video and then getting it approved by whomever and then move from there. And if the podcast goes well for a few weeks then I would start up the whole video thing. So hopefully I will have a sample podcast by the beginning of next and if not it will be sometime next week (all in good hope that is... depending on school and work)

 

omfg Hiro that would be so balling everyone with youtube accounts (guessing most of us) could subscribe and it would be cool beans!! go Hiro go!

 

Okay... how long should I make it, because Im gonna start on it tomorrow but I want to make sure I have it all planned and everything. So how does 30 minutes sound? I mean if that's too long then we can cut it (less stuff for me to do lol :sweat: ). I need to know just so I can post an outline for you guys before I start k?

 

Umm i Dont know 30 minutes might be a little long like the olds ones where like 15ish so if you cut it in half it might be good. I wouldnt mind 30 minutes either its like a TV show witth out the commercials so yeah I'd be good with anything. Good Luck!

 

well I was hoping for 15 minutes so okay...I'll chop it to thirty.. and it looks like I got to push to the end of next week (friday) but that means I will definitely have it done by then! (sorry for the wait luffy)

I got it started, but, alas, last thursday got in a car accident so Im holding off until I can speak correctly again, seeing that the bottom of my tongue got pretty cut up and I cant talk right. But next week my mouth should be fine. Sorry for all the delays lol.

 

Well the airbag uppercut my face and burned my neck a tad (but that is already healed) and the steering wheel hit my chin but Im a quick healer! Ill be playing my Trumpet and Poppin out podcasts in no time lol. At least I can still play guitar ( myspace.com/angelichiro been playing for 2 months) anyways... I digress. I'll be back in action next week and will have it done next week.

 

Hey, sorry for not keeping up. I'm (or at least now finally WAS) a senior in high school until yesterday, which was happy graduation day.

Suffice to say I've been really really busy. Senior days, especially during the second semester, can be a pain.

Alas, I have been wanting to do another podcast for a while, but have not found the time. The video idea was also something that I wanted to do instead of the regular "sound only" podcasts. Why?

A-Videos are cool, if you make them cool.
B-My room is now an anime themed fortress with wall scrolls, figures, and anime to boot (kinda, )
C-I'm an attention wh*re (don't know If I can say that ) when it comes to looking at me

I wish though, I AM taking donations for a standard camera!

Of course, given my comment above (the busy thing) does not mean I have not kept up to date with my beloved BJP. Seishin still watches you the way Santa does, and he knows wether you've been naughty, or nice...
