*cries* InuYasha is probably going to end soon incase you haven't known yet. for some of you InuYasha haters and semi IY fans will probably be able to move on but...but...for some one like me...it's just going to be hard *takes deep breath* so to the hopeless obsessed IY fans out there, what do you think you'll do after the series has ended? for me, i'll prolly:

-be in disbelief that it's over, and keep on thinking that the series never ended.
-rewatch all the movies and episodes
    -cry
-go move into a large single room with Kagome's Arrow and have the room decorated with InuYasha posters, plushies, and life size models of every Inu character...he he. we'd sit there and drink sake most of the time and pretend we're talking to the IY gang and other things *cough?* . when we're sober, we'll sit there and cry in each other's arms.
-move to Japan and beat up the inuyasha creator for ending the series (j/k!)
    -cry again
    - i know there's more....i'll add some later

Well, knowing how popular InuYasha was...Adult Swim would probably try to pick up another one of Takahashi's works.

I can't see them doing Lum/Urusei Yatsura because Ataru's too much of a pervert.

I can see them doing Maison Ikkoku, but that's kinda bland after watching IY.

I can see them doing Ranma 1/2, but somehow cutting out lots of Happosai parts, and lots of times when Ranma is naked and female.

Or, I can see all the IY people moving unto Wolf's Rain. Because everybody loves dog-boys.

Well, as I understand it there's a good bit of Inuyasha left. o_O But hey, when that's over, you can always go learn to read kanji and buy doujinshi. It's like having an addition to the series, only, like, not canon. And with more ecchi. XD

But anyway - I'm guessing that most of the current IY fans will either 'grow out of' anime (it's their loss, really) or move to another series (possibly more from Takahashi, but if CN could get ahold of Slayers, Escaflowne - I HOPE they never get that, though - or maybe something like Ruin Explorers, those might appeal to the same crowd).

    EDIT: 500 posts, w00t. XD

But when I see all the eps then I will go through depressing...

Imaging If INuyasha died ....I would crie ,just thinking about it makes me crie...Or If my beautiful seeshi weeshi snuggles died? wahhh

Maybe If Rin or kagome or sango or miroku...

If naraku died Muhuhahahahahahahahahahahaha! *goes insane* hahahahahahaha hihihi ho ho ho ho !!!!

Although I want kagura to be alive.
    *seeshi + kagura sitting in a tree K -I-s-s-i-n-g *

Well I'd been thinking about this for some time now, until the perfect solution occurred to me.

See at first I was thinking I'd probably turn into a maniac depressant and end up with a heroine addiction in an attempt to ease the pain. Then I'd start hallucinating Inuyasha everywhere, and in my less then attentive state I'd get run over while chasing down some guy I saw in The Knife Gallery whose identity was Inuyasha's, surely, because not only did he hold the legendary Tetsusaiga, but he had long, black hair. Inuyasha on a human night, of course! Well...the fact that I was high on heroine may have had something to do with it.

So then I thought, hmmm, why not become a recluse who lives on a deserted island or some remotely similar setting surrounded by Inuyasha merchandise, and spending the rest of my days rewatching the series again and again and living off cold pizza and coconut milk?

But then I figured the best solution would be to just get over it and move on with my life, so that's what I've decided to do, though I do think I'll join Wing_Goddess in that room for awhile. :D For some inexplicable reason I haven't wanted to focus too much on another anime series while watching Inuyasha, mostly because I've been afraid I'll find a new addition and Inuyasha will no longer be as appealing to me, especially as I know there are more enhancing series out there. So once the show is over there won't be much to stop me from picking up a new series, probably my first sub since I'm not partial to too many of the Swim series', and I've been thinking along the lines of Escaflowne since I've heard nothing but praise for the series, and it does share the familiar plotline of "girl gets transported into another world", so at least one of the elements isn't too different from Inuyasha, even if everything else is.

nooooo, i am for certain that it isn't already over. Actually, a new episode is supposed to air in Japan in about *looks at clock* four hours from now...Japan is like 16 hours ahead, and it airs in Japan around 7:00pm and it's around 9:00pm here....wow, just by stating this makes me sound like i'm a freakin' super obsessed fan. Oh, and i forgot to mention that i'll then see this episode in less than 24 hours from now. AHA HA HA HA! should be a good episode too..Just look at what the title's going to be "The two-timing Bastard who brings happiness" heh heh, that title sounds interesting.

EEEEK! Seriously? Well it isn't too difficult to pinpoint the exact plotline of *this* episode. Last I'd heard Inuyasha and Kagome had found themselves in yet another argument, something to do with a bicycle? This will probably be a cute little fluffy installment I'm guessing, though that title does bring *ahem* other possible scenarios to mind. ;)

Actually, be GLAD that Takahashi isn't planning to extend the series infinitely. That's what happened with the Dragonball series - and, well, to be nice about it, that choice was to the SERIOUS detriment of what enjoyable plot there was in the original.

Inuyasha already suffers from being mildly episodic, from dragging, and from "villain of the day" themes. To continue the series until the end of time would be horrible - because wouldn't it absolutely suck to realize one day that your favorite series had gotten boring?

That's why I like shortish series, one or two seasons. You can ALWAYS expand on the canon through RP, fics, doujinshi, and possible sequels/movies. But a series that gets too long runs into problems.

*cries* I still can't get the message into my mind that IY will end. NEVER! INUYASHA is the ONLY anime i love and adore! WAAAH! *IY fans glare at her for she has a Gravitation sig and avatar and her previous avatar was of Hellsing*... umm... *Shichinintai fans glares even more, with pitchforks in their hands* I STILL LIKE BANKOTSU! I'll never give up the Shichinintai spirit! *sigh* if i'm correct, IY is ending in like 5 episodes... for me at least. And yet, no Shichinintai appearings again... i feel all dilusional now... You have no clue how much i've confused myself right now... i forget what i was even talking about.

    Traitor.

Hah, but I kid. Seriously though, I'm so apprehensive and anxious and all that good (or not so good) stuff! I'm sure I'll stumble upon the ending soon enough (if not blatantly searching for it), so......well, I just have the urge to scream really loudly

    EEEEEEEK

But then again, the fourth movie's debuting in December. Maybe the ending lies there, and apparently an OVA series isn't out of the question either (but that's just something I read on a website and is quite possibly mistaken).

a easy way to forget about inuyasha is to find another manga so you can just move on. then we can all live happily ever after.

and isn't the fourth movie about kikyo and kagome or something like that?
    hmm. whatever.

Hmmm, really? Then it *is* plausible that the fourth movie contains the series ending, especially since I have a gut feeling that at some point in the series, Kikyo will perish for the final time (whether Inuyasha follows is a different story entirely, but even Kikyo knows she'll eventually have to die). Pity, I hate the movie animation and the ending probably won't have as much impact on me (since I'll be distracted with thoughts of "Wait, that's Shippo? I thought it was a mushroom!")

While I'm becoming all eager and anxious to finally discover the ending for myself (its almost inevitable that I stumble across it before seeing it for myself, the internet is just that spoileriffic ), I must say that it seemes like they're cutting it a bit short. I mean the've dragged out this series for 160 odd episodes, and yet at 163 they haven't even begun the final battle with Naraku yet (then again this is all judging by episode titles). Episode 65 is "The Best Clue to Beat Naraku", so I have a feeling that the battle will finally begin either in 165 or 166, but I'm getting a bit suspicious. They have countless loose ends to tie up, and they're planning to conclude everything, plus give a convincing fighting episode (I mean they've been battling Naraku for quite awhile, it'd be rather anti-climactic for Inuyasha to slice him with Tetsusaiga once and be done with it) all in the context of two or three episodes? I'm a bit skeptical, but I trust them to at least attempt a good job... I just hope the ending doesn't seem rushed. I've invested wayyy too much time in this series for it to end irritatingly abruptly.

    Coming to a Close, ehh...

    INUYASHA'S FINISHING????
Well this doesn't really apply to me personally, I only have about 8 episodes that I've downloaded (on dial up internet, took me forever!) of Inuyasha, and I'm pretty much surviving off of pics, manga, those eps., and "fake reality". My friend and I call it that. It's just interpreting what could happen, and we read up on the net about it.

And as I said, it doesn't ultimately apply to me, right now I'm obsessed with both IY and Ranma 1/2. Ha, Takahashi caught me.. She's a genius.. *cough* erm, anyway, I've cried over many things involving animé and if the series was even airing here in Aus and was coming to a close, I'd mourn for who knows how long..
    And probably take it out on anyone who insists on talking to me. Not much change in my day-to-day life there but, smeh. ^^;

Just to keep this open... it hasn't been OFFICIALLY confirmed that Iy is ending. Yea, a lot of people says it is, but i have yet find anything from the creaters of the Iy show themselves that THEY say it's true. All the proof i have of it ending is from people who claim to have "heard" a convo or something... But personally i think it's ending:p
