Neph, I truly have to agree with all of the comments you have made. Yes, everyone is entitled to their oppinions (to username), but I would have to say you have an "argument" that I happen to agree with, not to mention actually makes sense.

Realy folks.. When you REALY think about it.. 90% of westren cartons are more comedic then anime..

Mickey mouse, Bug bunny and crew, tom and Jerry, Animaniacs, Simpson, family guy, Undergrads, Clone high, Jonny Bravo.. the list goes On and on..

But thats what seperates Westren cartoons from Anime.. Anime is usualy plot based when Westren cartoon is just comedic through and through.. no plot nothing..

And frankly i do agree that westren anime is more amusing to watch for a laugh.. Username just made a bad comparison in his opening statement..

i agree with kame. i mest up in my opening statement.but remember what this argument is about? i did not say american animation was better, isaid it was funnier. i don't care about plots or story lines, i just like watching the funny cartoon shows, excluding all the little kid shows. Late!!

Then try watching Shin Crayon-chan (is that what it's called?) That's a comedy. DokiDoki (a infamous anime music video production group) took a scene from it where, Crayon's got his pants and underwear down, and his 'peepee' has a face and is tlaking. Well DokiDoki put in the oscar miener weiner song so it looks like the 'peepee' is singing it. They claled it 'This is so wrong...' It was sick.... X(
There are quite a few comedy animes ya know, hmmm.... there was another one that I'm trying to remember.... Mini Goddess i guess can be considered very funny, for Gan-chan gets tortured each episode

I'm actually convinced that me and my two friends are the only ones on earth who have seen Venture Brothers, it was really good, even better than Excel saga.

THE MONARCH BUTTER FLY-

Cab Driver- "Time to pay." (reaches back only to get a white peice of paper from a man in a butterfly suit.) "What's this?"

Monarch Butterfly- "It's an IOU FOR YOUR LIFE! (quickly shoots a leathal dart from his wrist band)

venture brothers has a familiar ring to it. what was it about may i ask?

 

It was about these two brothers who were superheros they of cores would go around trying to stop the bad guys. It was pretty funny it's nothing more thatn a spoof on superherso adn I think the hardy boys ( correct me if I'm wrong.) The Monarch butter fly. that was so funny egad he had bad taste. I'm a girl and I wouldn't dare to step outta the house in the get up the had on.

 

i really never watch american anime cause of the fact that im full-japanese and i dont have the passion for it at all

i love funny american animation.ITS so funny. but i like to watch anime because almost all the shows are fighting shows and i love to watch fighting as well. Dbz is a great example of a great fighting anime!!!!
