just wondering, where do people recommend buying/renting anime dvd's or vids in Ireland?
I have seen a few around the country, most noteable forbidden planet in dublin where they have a good few vhs tapes (not sure about dvds). Mostly anime series though from what i can recall, prob stock a few movies too.
Golden discs in carlow (for some weird reason) often has the odd anime dvd, i saw er.. "princess monoke" (that right?), and Ninja Scroll (which i promptly bought) there, and they can probably order a few in if asked.
Other than these two places i haven't seen much anime around the place here, and i don't have a clue about manga.. other than forbidden planet again.

are there any places you know of that stock decent anime titles? at decent prices? :) any in Galway?

Sub City have some anime and manga titles.

I have bought stuff online (need credit card) from www.play.com and found them very good, delivery is free.

Well, this is Dublin too, but Lazer in Ranelagh has loads of Anime tapes. I saw Ghost in a Shell on DVD there, but that's about it for DVDs.

Best thing to do is get a region free DVD player and buy some stuff from US sites like http://www.cdnow.com
A much greater number of anime titles are released in the US compared to here (such as loads of Gundam stuff ).

Never go near any of Amazon's sites, they may be well known but they have the worst prices and terrible overall service.
