Inu-Yasha Anti-Kikyo, what would you change about her so you guys would become non-anti-kikyo?

well, i did like kikyou BEFORE she died. she was a really good person.


now that she's "undead" and all, she appears to be filled with hatred....and the love she once had seems to have dissapeared. she treats inu yasha so badly now, even though he deeply loves her still. she even helps out the bad guys at times too.

i would say that if she was a little more...say friendly or more loving than i would be alright with her....but i think that it would be best for her to stay dead in rest in peace.

i don't really hate her but i would change the fact that she is trying to kill everyone know. that is about the only thing i can think of.

One thing i know is that Kikyou isn't trying to kill everyone. she still helps people who are wounded, and children as well.

Kikyou Must Burn In Hell... Even Thou She Is Clay

Well, she's OKAY her when she was still alive... But when she's dead, i did'nt like her anymore.... I WANT DA OLD KIKYOU BACk

 

I wouldn't change a thing about her. Her actions and thoughts do play an important role in the story.

Her actions can confuse many and some might misunderstand her. You can't really expect her to be her normal self after what she's been through. She was brought back into the living world against her wishes and seeing the one she believed to "betrayed" her, obviously she couldn't control her anger. If she could rest in peace, I think she would take that chance quickly. I believe she will rest in peace after she gets what she's enduring all this hardship for.

As for attempting to kill Inuyasha and his companions are for good reasons. She only attemped once and never tried again. She does help the wounded and weak. She's kind towards children.

Kikyou is an important character in the story as everyone else is. She makes the tale more enjoyable to read and enhances Inuyasha and Kagome's relationship.

 

yeah. i like her as she is now, but if not, then i just might make her a little more happy. ^__^ smile kikyo!!!! or laugh... laughter is the medicine to ALL!!!!

 

For me to like her it would take a lot. She was unhappy before she died and angry after. She viewed what she did as a job. You have a gift you should use it. She was gifted with strong miko powers yes she developed them more. But she didn't have to think guarding the shikon no tama as her job. She saved likes. It was her gift. Now that she died she is just as bad. Maybe if she changed that I could think of her as being okay.

 

I will change her hating Inuyasha and make it where she pleaded for him to come back and everything.In all my posts I really said I didn't like her,but now I kinda do..I feel really awful for her she's got this super cutie young
reincarnation of her with a guy he loved.I wish she would die now.I just know she has no reason to live anymore and only thing she is accomplishing is causing moe pain and trying to find Naruku.Kikyo is very beautiful and she did
her job as her oldself but now is time for her to end it.I think that would kinda
end the climax of the story though

Wow, this is an old thread that got revived. The last time i posted in here was over a year ago. Anyhoo, imma post again with a different answer. I wouldn't change anything. Main female characters will forever be hated by me.

i'll change my answer. all of them should die... even though it'll turn out to be a boring show, at least there's only guys.... lol.

 

Can't say I really like either version of Kikyo. Not the one in which she was alive and well nor the zombie version.

The previously-living Kikyo however I think was just the teeniest bit easier to stomach than zombie Kikyo. But not by much. I don't like how Kikyo wanted Inuyasha to change for her convenience and to rid herself of the duty of protecting the shikon jewel. She just came across as self-centered and quite selfish.

And zombie Kikyo...well, the whole hatred, personal agenda, hard headedness and living off the souls of dead people thing turns me off like nothing else.

I undestand that that is how her character was designed...tragically flawed as it is...but seriously...she outlived her SECOND welcome way back before episode 30 or so. She fell of that cliff the first time and that should've been the end of it. She just hangs around and occasionally makes an appearance and/or finds away to make Naraku stronger and life difficult for the Inu-Tachi.

Never liked her...never will. But I am looking forward to the day she dies for good. It's like...FINALLY...CLOSURE.

I'm not anti Kikyo at all and here are my reasons why I like her:

1. She's sophisticated and graceful--she may even be grace itself.
2. She knows what to say and when to say it.
3. She is one of the most powerful characters in the show. Her technique is to combine her intellectual skills with her battle skills.
4. She doesn't waste time. She gets straight to her point.
5. She does not state the obvious.
6. Her quotes are both beautiful, mystifying, or touching. My personal favorite is "A man embraces a woman and thinks he owns her".
7. She has a right to complain, but doesn't.
8. She derserves respect for all of her hard work as a miko and protecting Kaede when she was young.
9. She cares about healing the wounded, and making sure every child has a smile on their face.
10. Is NOT jealous of Kagome, does NOT brag, and does NOT lead on 3 or four other guys.

Kikyo haters claim:

1. Kagome can sense the jewel shards AND purify them after they have been tainted by evil.
   DemonKikyo: Guess what?! So can Kikyo!
   
2. Kagome's archery (which improves with every battle) has helped out the group on countless occasions
   DemonKikyo: Guess what!? Kikyos arrows that almost never miss a target probably would render Kagome useless if she were included in the group!
   
3. Kagome is a very caring and loving person. She is always watching out for the well being of the group. She also watches out for others...always trying to help out those in trouble. Kagome was really sweet with Jinenji...the hanyou who lived by a village with his mother. She helped them out a lot when the villagers tried to kill them
   DemonKikyo: Kikyo helps little children and goes around healing the sick and injured in all of the villages she visits. Kikyo even healed people in villages that were in war with one another--she didnt care who was against who--she just cared about healing the wounded..... how is any of this cruel?
   
4. Kagome is SO nice and generous...that she's saved Kikyo's butt a number of times...even though Kikyo has tried to kill her and is mean to her and tried to take Inu Yasha down into hell with her. It's just not Kagome's nature to hate and be mean
   DemonKikyo: I recall many times when Kikyo had chances to kill kagome, but decides to spare her instead. Also, Kikyo has saved Kagome many times as well. The picture you have of the cave episode, kagome helping kikyo up, kikyo saves the day by telling kagome to believe in her priestess powers. I do recall it being kikyos idea to make the jewel shards form one huge shard, put it into the arrow, and shoot the demon freeing them both from the cave. You pathetic Kikyo haters: "WAAHHHHHHH KAGOME HATERS ARE BIG MEEAAANIES WAAAH"
   
5. Kagome brings food and medical supplies from the future back to the feudal era and is able to save their lives many times
   DemonKikyo: Kikyo can use her powers that she carries with her to ward away demons and can make many useful medicines herself. She doesnt need to go all the way to the future in back- she has skills and not luck.
   
6. Kagome remains loyal, no matter what. Not even dark miko Tsubaki's black magic could get Kagome to turn on Inu Yasha. And then, later on...when Naraku's Heart (the baby) takes over Kagome's mind...she fights him and still does not turn on Inu Yasha.
   DemonKikyo: You may not have noticed, but its Kikyo who freed Kagome from Tsubakis curse in the end..... the whole "who are you?" Thing. If you dont remember, rewatch it very carefully. Kagomes saftey was kikyos doing.
   
7. After Inu Yasha went all demon on some bandits and slaughtered them all...Kagome was still there by his side...despite the horrible things he had done. She accepts/loves Inu Yasha just the way he is...despite all his problems and flaws.
   DemonKikyo: Even though Inuyashas problems are none of kagomes buisness, she butts right in assuming she gets whats going on right away. Kagome has far more flaws than Inuyasha does.
8. Despite being a mere human with no real special powers of any kind...she is courageous and will stand up and fight. Kagome is protective of her friends and will always place herself between them and the danger that threatens their lives. She sometimes wants to do more than she can...and that's why she's so lucky to have Inu Yasha on her side. He's always looking out for her safety and will do anything to save her
   DemonKikyo: Yeah Kagome really jumps right in there to save her friends by standing on the sidelines with shippo and yelling "Inuyasha!!!". She is sometimes courageous and will sometimes stand up and fight. Kikyo is indepent and courageous and ALWAYS arises to fight when it is nessasary

I see, but for some reason i'm compelled to like Kagome more. Is it maybe because she's more honest with her feelings, and expresses her emotions? Kikyo is good, but fails to express her feelings.

To put it in other words, Kagome is more "motherly" with the people around her. Kikyo just feels so... distant. I agree, it's not Kikyo's fault, but the way Kagome expresses her kindness is a virtue, after all. Also, Kagome is more "innocent", and innocence always has this charm. Compare Kikyo with SMJ's Baiko, and Kagome with Lime I know, it's not a perfect comparison, but I see why more people are compelled to like Lime than Kikyo.

 

I like Kikyo myself. Most of the reasons for hating her seem far out dated or biased. I find too many people bashing her because "she gets in teh way iof kag lolz"

If Kikyo wanted Kagome out of the way that badly, then she would have killed her by now.

 

I say that Kikyo should be healed...urr...a variation...errghh...what I mean is, I think that Kikyo should be more forgiving so that she will stop trying to kill Inuyasha and co. Can't she just plain forget about her grudge and work with them?

Then again, if you've read the recent issues of Inuyasha, Kikyo seems to have kinda forgotten about her grudge with Inuyasha and started tailing Naraku on her own...
