Brian Warfields daughter Shivonne, is staying at my house. Yes, we know them personally. Back to the point, we went to Blockbuster (don't know if they have these in Ireland, its a video rental store) to rent some vidoes (duh). Well, i headed for thew anime section (I was in the mood for Princess Mononoke) And she says "Oh your not into all that kiddie cartoon stuff, are you?" Then I said, "Some of them are rated are, ya know" This is when Shivonne said "But there just cartoons, there for kids". Well this made me mad, and i thought i could get some sympathy.

It's a shame isn't it? So many people think anime is for children, not knowing the difference between cartoons and anime. I hope you got it anyway, so you could show her the difference. I thought Princess Mononoke was excellent, and while children might like it, they couldn't understand the complicated themes.

I think situations like that deserve a viewing of Legend of the Overfiend.
She may never speak to you again, but what the hell it's worth it.
