Around a week ago, I lend my friend SMJ from episodes 1 - 15. (the very step to spread how good SMJ is ^_~) She was the pal whom I was argueing which anime's the best anime and is Megumi better or Maaya's better, etc. Her favorite anime is Fushigi Yugi, and I obviously yelled back, saying that SMJ is. So she watched the tape she borrowed from me, and... SHE LIKED IT ^_____^ She said it was the second best anime after FY to her, that SMJ was very hilarious and a very good anime, and she couldn't wait to see more!! SMJ BANZAI!!!

*Japanese Lime style* Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaii!!!! Banzai! Banzai!

SMJ is so catchy, isn't it? I brought a friend into it, and since I'm missing the first 9 eps, she is now nearly bent on getting them for herself!

BTW, Baka-san, why all the Latin American locations on your location thing? (Just curious… seeing my location was kinda touching… Hehe…)

    Heh heh... VacaMattSu...

No real reason...I'm just cycling thru all the countries in the world. Baka's spread worldwide, you know ;)

I discriminate against no one, and I try not to play favorites...

But at your option, feel free to be moved, touched, or however you'd like to feel...

WHat? Give me her name, so I can write her on "my list"... :D

"Happy Chibi Ride"? That doesn't even make sense... did she back that up with any arguments?

    "Hanna"? ROTFLMAO!

I don't suppose it had anything to do with her name being very close to a certain "colorful" character's name?? :D

*cracks his knuckles in preperation for quick rebuttal*

    1) Tenchi comparison. At first glance, yes, SMJ seems like an odd kind of Tenchi-knock off... but if you look at the entire scene of things, the "girls fighting over one guy" routine is fairly common. But that is the only common ground. Beyond that, the style of humor is far more light-hearted and better (IMHO of course) that the Tenchi series. The plot of SMJ also seems to flow better overall... much of the various Tenchi series seem to jerk around at times. And the emotional content and atmosphere is far superior in feeling...

    2) The names. The only names that lack lustre are the marionettes themselves, who are "fruity". But what's truly in a name? A name is nothing more than something to refer to something... so it really isn't much of an argument to how bad something is...

Gimmie more, I can take it!!

*roots, cheers, whistles along with the…crickets*

Okay, well… *tries to think up things people might say*

How bout I field a general one? There's this one classmate of mine who asked "What's the name of that crap?" when AngelofLight and I were watching Candidate for Goddess. (It doesn't matter that it's a different anime than SMJ, 'cuz that's her opinion on practically everything animated)

*waves her little Baka flag* Go Baka go! Go Baka go!

    NA NI?! Hanna (now did someone say the name resembles an SMJ character? ^^) doesn't like SMJ?!?!?! OH I'll bust her! Nah, j/k!! ^^;;

I really didn't mind the Tenchi concept. But besides, the love triangles in SMJ are MUCH more sweeter and kawaii than the ones in Tenchi. And like Matt said, the plot is, of course, MUCH BETTER!

One guy/lotta girls is starting to wear on me. It just seems like such a pathetically obvious attempt to appeal to loser guys (like me, don't get me wrong).

SMJ was of course different. I was fine with it until SMJ Again.. it got a bit ridiculous there.

*L* Tenchi is very pathetic, indeed. Why don't 'they have any shows about girls surrounded by a bevy of hot men (okay, aside from Fushigi Yugi)

Hooray for the Happy Chibi Ride!! Can we all refer to SMJ by that title now?

I would, but the title just doesn't fit it...

Sure, from screenshots and pics around the net, and first glance it looks like a happy chibi ride... but it's not.

You want happy and chibi, go find something nutso like DiGi-Charat....
