I was thinking about having our own cook book. I thought it would be fun. We could do it in PDF. It would be the first International Board Cook Book. :D

We need Editors. I will gladly help. Need one more or so. These people can decided what recipes go in.

It will be open to all members. All recipes have to be your own recipes or friends and families. You have to have tried them.

Here is what we would need recipes for:

    Appetizers
    Bars
    Beverages
    Breads
    Brunch
    Cakes
    Cookies
    Desserts
    Meat, Dinners, Main Dishes
    Salads, Soups
    Side Dishes
    Vegetables
    Snacks

It is just an idea. So post wither you like the idea. Post if you want to help. Or post your recipes for it.

I've posted my single recipe around several times. Search for Triple Chocolate Cake and you'll find it. :p

Although, PDF is a pretty crappy format, in my opinion. I've always hated clicking a link and finding out it was one. HTML would be better, and I could even handle doing some (if not all) work on that. :p

I could even host it, although it's supposed to be a *BJP* cookbook. :p

But yeah, I could work together a recipe book using HTML if ya want. I'm not the best with it, but I'm certainly capable of something like this. All it would mean to be HTML, I think is that it would have to stay an online book.

Hell, give me a few months and I could probably work together a system where users could submit recipes themselves and have them appear automatically using PHP, if one of my friends wouldn't mind.

I think the recipes should be explained more, like you would actually see in a cook book.

Yes, this is a good idea. It seems like fun also. I would be willing to help.

Hmmm having it be HTML could be neat. I wanted something so others can print it out. It is also possible with HTML.

Be detailed with the recipes. I will look to see what I have for recipes.

I can do a printer-friendly version, it's even easier than the version I've already started planning. :D

If you want I can get started on both before long, and see what we can come up with. :)

    Onions
    Garlic
Meatballs / Chicken Filé / Shrimps (Choose whatever you like)
    Mushrooms
    Crushed Tomatoe Sauce
    Salt & Pepper
    And Cream.

Fry the onions and garlic first, and later add the mushrooms. Add salt and pepper together with the crushed tomatoe sauce with the cream too. Later, throw down the "piece" that you want. Add some oil and if you want, sesam oil. Boil some pasta, make a nice sallad and serve with onion bread.

    Viola, Pasta alá Teddz.

I'm am putting up how to make a peanut butter brownie(It's like a reese's cup)!

    So all you need is:

    1/4 Chocolate mix
    1/2 Flour
    1/4 cup Sugar
2 table spoons Peanut butter, now put all these ingrediants in 1 bowl!

    Milk
    Melted butter
Vanilla Astract, put all of these in another bowl!

Now stir both bowls each for about 3 minutes...
...then mix them together and stir for about 5-10 minutes......
......then put in a mircrowave for say 3-5 miutes...
...and there you have it peanut butter brownies!:D

is it possible to do a conversion? Like here in the states they use pounds and etc other places it is grams and etc.

The recipes look good just need measuring for some. Please edit Teddz and Soitsu.

I like the idea of pictures Saber.

I could certainly handle that. It's not that hard to convert, I'd just include both amounts. :)

Anyway, as far as an actual design, I'm thinking it would have a kind of notebook appearance, with possibly a background image resembling looseleaf paper, and I think definately with a coil ring on one side. (The printer friendly versions would lack this styling) As it's simply recipes, actually putting the pages together would be quite easy, once I have the design set up.

Another plan I've got is to have an index page that links to each individual recipe, rather than say, listing them all at once, or doing pages of recipes. It'll result in a lot of html files on my end, but I don't know enough about this stuff to do any better. :p

But if that sounds good to you, I'll get started right away and see what I can come up with. I already have a recipe to stick in it, so I'll use that as an example when I get the time to make it up. ^^

Great idea, I'll give you a few recipes if you'd like ^^

    Banana and mango soya smoothie
    Makes 4 large glasses

    - 2 ripe mangos
    - 1 banana
    - 400ml soya milk
    - a handful of ice cubes
    - runny honey

Peel and slice up the banana and mangos and put in a blender with the soya milk and ice cubes. Blend and then add honey to taste. Pour into glasses and drink.

You could also add some blueberry if you like.

Good idea for the background. Yes an index page would be a great idea. See what you can get.

ADDED NOTE ADD IN WHAT CATORGORY THE RECIPE GOES IN.

    For Example:

    Recipe: Appetizers

    1 lb. of Cream Cheese
1 Bottle of Chipotle Raspberry Sauce
Box Crackers recommended brand Wheat Thins

Spread the cream cheese on a thin layer on a serving tray (or anything that is thin less then ¼ inch in thickness). Spread Chipotle Raspberry Sauce on top you will not need the whole bottle. Serve the crackers to dip into the cream cheese sauce.

Note: You can also blend the mixture and make a spread for bagels, crackers, and etc.

Hint: If it doesn't taste sweet enough add a little sugar to the Chipotle Raspberry Sauce.

Once a few recipes are edited we will have:
    2 drinks
    1 Meat/main dish
    1 Appetizer
    1 Snack

    Looks good so far.

I made up my own milkshake-ish drink that is so thick, I couldn't finish one glass of it. Ever.

Basically, it's just heavy whipping cream, a ton of strawberry syrup, some milk, and a little bit of chocolate syrup. The heavy cream turns into a layer of whipped cream when you blend it. Sweeeeet. Literally.

You didn't give us a choice in the poll lol.
Ill replace this with a better one later, but...

    Chocolate milk
    • One glass
    • Chocolate syrup
    • Milk
    • Spoon

First you take the glass, and pour it 3/4 ths full with milk, and then squeuze alot of choco. syrup in it. If you want it really chocolatey, you put more that a lot in. Then you take a spoon, and stir it, till it turns a brownish color. Et voila! Chocholat *milk*

Here's a recipe for one of my favorite snacks:

    • Take your favorite candy bar.
    • Crumble it up.
    • Add it too your favroite brand of peanuts
    • Enjoy. :)

Now, you all know this can't work if you're alergic to peanuts. So, if you ARE alergic to peanuts, you can think about adding it to another one of your faorite snacks.
