Inu-Yasha Call me stupid... but...

are people these days really that stupid?! i mean yes you can see it and it is soooo not connected too his butt. all i know is that it's really, really fluffy and i want it. maybe he enheireted it from his father or something, don't know why though . . .

 

Yakamashi, don't call people stupid. It's not nice, and we don't like it here on the forums.

How can you really tell it's not attached to his body? Do you have proof? If so, please, post a picture so we can all see.

Here are the reasons (again) for why I believe it's a part of him:

- It corresponds to the ruff of furr that crosses his body up his chest, over his right shoulder, and down his back into a tail when he's in his dog-form.
- You never see him without it, even when his armor is half-destroyed
- You, for the most part, only see one end of it at a time. The other disappears under his armor (where it could conceivably be attached to him). When you see more than one end, it's when he uses it to fly, and there are multiple trailing ends (more than two).
- He uses it both to throw Inuyasha, and to fly, which indicates that it has supernatural powers. It stands to reason that it would be attached to him for him to have such control over it.

 

i didnt know that there was more than one hanging part. i thought i saw two ends of the thingy when he first met rin... maybe i was just seeing two of the hanging sections?

 

I think its some of his fathers pelt....cuz when he fights you see both tneds of it

 

hey rbs, did you read what kogarashi-sama said? theres more than one trailing end. besides, ive never seen more than two ends of the object in question. ive seen him use it to fight while he and inuyasha were arguing over tetsusaiga, but i only saw one end.

 

Go to this site . Click on information and start reading what it said cuz it'll say something we all been curious to know. I'm not sure if this is true or not, so don't start flaming me or anything, 'kay?

 

I said you only ever see one trailing end at a time, except when he uses it to fly, in which case there are at least three trailing ends, if not more. ::shrug::

Thanks for the site, Mystical Angel. The information looks reliable enough, and the person who runs the site says (in the Information section, if you want to go look) that Rumiko Takahashi (the creator of the series) said it's a tail. I'll be e-mailing the person to ask what their references were, but it seems fairly valid enough.

I found another site that talk about the fluffy thing. It talk about the length of the tail in some of the manga. And after reading it, I'm wondering, how the hell can Sesshomaru fight with that on his shoulder!? Well the site is here.

 

Got an answer to the e-mail, and while she can't find the particular reference she had, she did have it from a reliable source: Rumiko Takahashi herself, in an interview, confirmed it's a tail.

As for that other site...it's humorous. And being silly, but it's fun.

has anyone noticed that when he takes his hand off of the furry thing it sticks to him you guys said he used it to fight but i've never seen him take it off.

maybe i missed it or just havent seen it happen.

 

I'm not sure what it is... but i don't think it's a tail, because usally tails don't loop around the shoulder. if you look closely at the picture you'll see that it does. Just to put in my insites, i think it's a peice of armor, like Inu-Yasha's claok(sp)

 

i'm not quite sure. i have heard that he can take it off. but then again the is a dog demon!

 

sesshy's shoulder fur thingy doesnt look like his tail at all, i mean when he is in his big dog form his tail looks totally different to that shoulder fur, the tail itself is shorter but the fur is longer. and if this thingy is a tail, then does this mean that Inutaisho had two tails?? :dizzy2:

 

i'm not sure what it is... i've never really tried to figure it out :sad: ... i always dismissed it as one of those extravagant anime costumes :sweat2: ... but now i'm going to obsess about it till i fiure it out :dizzy2: ... i hate you :anger2:

 

its his mane. it becomes more noticable when he turns in to his dog form.

 

when sesshoumaru is fighting inuyasha in his father's tomb, he wraps inuyasha up in it and holds him in the air, but it doesnt come off.

 

this is like the most talked about subject :sad: no one really knows what it is hell i don't even think the creater knows. :sweat2: thats would accutally be pretty funny but very sad in a way

i think someone mentioned a website that stated that rumiko takahashi says its a tail.

it could be just a rumor so people will stop wondering what it is.
