Cowboy Bebop Can anyone recommend any other good anime that's like Cowboy Bebop?

You didn't understand EVA or Ghost i the Shell?!?!? Not really surprised at all. It kind of came to me 2 weeks after seeing them. But you can not call them bad. And you definately can't say EVA or GITS lacked credibility. At least read the manga before you judge them. And what about Akira? It was a good adult oriented anime. Actually, anime in general is supposed to be adult oriented except for a couple stupid shows *cough*pokemon*cough-cough* Yu-gi-oh *cough cough* digimon. But anyways Wolf's Rain kind of has a bebop edge to it since it was created by the Bebop creator's.

 

Evangelion was the most far-fetched anime I've ever seen!

1.) 14 year olds piloting giant robots whose controls fail in EVERY SINGLE episode...

2.) Ridiculous "Angels" including one that swallowed up all matter, another that was a giant spider spitting venom out, another that attacked the pilot mentally while staying up in space.

3.) An ending that just featured characters talking every nonsensical thing imaginable.. damn near made me vomit.

.. After I'd watched the series and the movies, I wanted to cry because I knew I had spent time and money on the biggest load of crap ever made by man.. Then I heard that the creator himself wasn't exactly mentally stable.. I certainly dont intend to waste anymore time reading the manga.. since I know for a fact that that ending made no sense whatsoever...

Since I dont enjoy nonsense in shows that I watch.. I will continue to judge it as a "bad" anime.


GITS was far fetched too.. with humans that you can "hack" by just talking to them... I wanted to scream.
I watched the GITS dubbed.. and the voice acting alone turned me off. Didn't really understand the whole plot at all... and am not going to bother investing more time in trying to figure out something so obscure...

Either way.. just my opinion.. if you have a different one.. to each his own Glad you were able to enjoy it

I just wanted you to elaborate. EVA had big biblical ties showing that the bible makes no sense...:dizzy2: Those are 2 really confusing ones..I just don't like it when ppl judge with out reason.

 

Ahh. ic.. well you can see my reasons up there. As for the bible, I already didn't believe in it.. I dont believe in any religion How Evangelion implies that 'the bible makes no sense' is far beyond me, but i'm fine with that

If you liked cowboy Bepop you will like Ruroni Kenshin.

 

ok i love Rurouni Kenshin above all other anime...however...Cowboy Bebop and Kenshin hardly compare...Bebop is a very beautiful blend of a deep and dark colors with one of the best music scores in anime history *exception would be Macross* Rurouni Kenshin on the other hand is fairly flashy many colors and has a tendency to be rather funny...in all reality Bebop and Kenshin really dont compare...

 

the only anime that comes close to being compared to Bebop is Outlaw star.. But outlaw star is not even half as good..

Other then that Bebop is TOTALY original in itself.. Oh im sure you can find a few comparissons here and there..

So just go and watch anime.. all sorts.. but you will never find anything like bebop..

I must agree with Kame, I mean.. yeah, there's shows that are similar that you will prolly dig if you like Bebop... but none are quite like it.

Ummm... yeah, I'm out of ideas. Maybe Arjuna, but I haven't seen it... Shoji Kowamouri and Yokko Kanno... Shoji directed Macross Plus and did mech designs for Bebop... and Kanno did the music for Plus and Bebop. *shrug*

 

Anything from Bones INC. will give a little Bebop air to it. I would suggest anyone by them especially Wolf's Rain if you liked any of the songs Steve Conte did in Bebop.
