Thats the most amazing bus I have ever Seen.. All schools should have those! Then kids would Love to go to school..

But is there a point to this thread.. Not really.. Its just fun..

This thread = a thought out question on peoples mentally while hinting at humor. And if you don't like it report it and don't post in it.

That picture is so strange. The things people come up with. Wouldn’t had thought that they would make a bus actually cool.

 

All we need are about 4,500 of those and some rocket launchers and we have our own BJP Twisted Metal Tournament.

 

It's believed that mentally handicapped students take the short bus, see Dumb and Dumber...the latest one they came out with...

and no I do not ride the short bus. Nevertheless, I wish my bus was bigger...too many kids.

 

Technically there are three kinds of busses.

The Long Bus for all the normal kids- the ones who leap, hoot and holler, throwing things at the bus driver and flipping the bird at passing vehicles.

The Short Bus for all the special kids. Notice the tinted windows. It's not nice to stare at all. Provides door to door service. The great thing about the short bus is that 99% of the time the kids aren't obnoxious and they almost never distract the driver or those on the road around them. I've never seen a tuna sandwich go flying out the window of a short bus into the lap of some blonde in her convertable at a stop light.

Says alot about the kids who ride the Long Bus.

The Minivan. Elusive and rarely seen, the minivan is reserved for either the worst of the worst kids (behavior-wise) or the kids who suffer from the most unfortunate of life's circumstances. The windows are not tinted on the Minivan which leads these methods of school transportation a mixed bag. Sometimes you'll get the kid grinning happily at the world enjoying his ride home, or you'll get the twin buttcheeks pressed against the glass from the kid who should be carted around in handcuffs.

The Navy (in typical offensive Naval fashion) tends to rate on-the-job screwups in the longbus/shortbus fashion. If you make a dum-dum mistake (get bit by 120v AC, get caught screwing around on watch) it's considered a Long Bus. A mistake that is a little more serious (Get bit by 440v AC ,you flood a passageway with 4 inches of water) is considered a Short Bus. The real kingkong mistakes (get evaporated by 4150v AC, putting your foot on a shaft spinning at 3600 rpm, arc-welding your finger to a pipe) is considered a minivan. The winners of the Minivan award rarely ever make it home that night.

So in that sense I've been on the 'short bus' more times that I care to admit.

Heh, I'll ahve you know the kids on all the long buses ~I'VE~ been on, don't throw things out the window (excpet for the few bad eggs) don't jump around like imbeciles, and don't make all that much racket. If some kid did do those thigns, the bus driver lady would beat him and then tell him to walk the rest of the way home. XD (the bus driver ladies are all moms so... O.O)
The worse I've seen is some boys makign the gesture to get semi truck drivers to honk their horns during a field trip.

Does it really Matter Why i started this.. it just kind of poped into my head and took a life of its own.. But reading through all the posts its been nothing but good times really.. Nothing bad.. No spaming really...

Actually I did ride the short bus when i was a kid.. Until i changed schools then it was the long bus..

So anyway just look at this thread and think to yourself.. Are there times in my life where i should be on that special Short Bus!

 

I got on it on accident.

 

*sob* *sob* I do daily now. Because of the 30 min walk between the parking lot and our ship in the yards our chain of command organized a 'bus' to ferry sailors between the two. So everyday I ride the short bus to work... the distance from the parking lot to the dry dock.

That's not the worst of it- We all have to wear hardhats while we ride. Shipyard's rules.

I don't ride the bus anymore. I have friends with cars who take me home. Yes, I know.. I am just to darn cool.
Next year I can drive throughout the whole school year so my answer is no I do not ride the short bus.

The short bus is more mentally hanicapped people, I know this thread wasn't made ( I hope it wasn't) to make fun of those who ride it, but I just think that it isn't in much humor.

I once rode the the short bus, it was on a choir trip in the town to go sing at a nursing home.

 

Sadly I ride the short bus. It's the only one that runs during the times I need it.

Oh well, at least it has comfortable seating and stops right near my door.
