I'm pro-Kikyo. I don't go with the flow, and the whole anti-Kikyo thing is childish.

 

While I'm definitely a Kikyo advacator I have to admit that this pic. is hysterical ^_^

Not liking (hating) Kikyo is a personal choice. I don't impose it on anyone.

And just so you know...I've seen/interacted with some "Kagome Haters" that were the epitomy of childishness.

 

*nodnod* As have I, numerous times (and not solely on this forum, either, so don't get your panties in a twist to those of you I take immense pleasure in ranting at XD). I was appalled when I discovered the number of Anti-Kagome shrines floating around, as it far outweighs the number of pro-Kag sites.

Which is why I'm currently in the process of creating my own ^_^.

Anyway, H.K, was that website created by you? I came across multiple factors which pointed to you being the creator, so I just jumped to conclusions...as usual. If so, I commend you! Excellent site, though I basically skipped all the "I Hate Kikyo" bits and concentrated more on the Kagome stuff. Love the "funny pics" section!!

The site's main function is to state our reasons for not liking her and such...but contrary to popular belief...hate does not consume my life! LOL. I made my site multi-dimensional...so people who don't necessarily hate Kikyo could get some enjoyment out of it. I have character bios, meanings of names and many other pages that feature the anime in general.

I'm glad that you liked my site. I really appreciate the compliment! I put a lot of work into it...and although it may not be the fanciest thing around (in regards to graphics and stuff) it gets the point across!

 

don't hate kikyo but... wow. lots of people seem to dislike kikyo a lot... that's kinda sad. but the pictures are some what amussing.

 

I don't actually hate the girl I just think she's kinda dum considering she wanted to kill Inuyasha because she thought he killed her, then finding out it wasn't him and then stalking him for a while knowing that he loves Kagome, then tries to kill him again becuase he wants him to join her in hell.

 

Kikyo's motives are often unclear and difficult to decipher, but I'm dubious regarding the section of your post stating that Kikyo tried to kill Inuyasha knowing he loved Kagome. Kikyo's only made a single attempt on Inuyasha's life, and it was *during* this endeavor that she discovered her true murderer. Plus, by this point, Inuyasha only considered Kagome a mere crush and a decent friend, and while Kagome's feelings were developing, they weren't anything earthshattering. After this encounter, we don't recieve any hints pointing toward a repeat of the incident, in fact it's Kagome she targets in their next encounter, but following this she seems to relinquish her threat on both of them, leaving them to their own devices and pitching in to help every once in awhile.

O.k. How is Anti-Kikyou childish?? We all have very diffrent opinions and yours might not be as same as ours... That does'nt mean that we are childish you know. Look, we have VERY good reasons to hate kikyou in our group and we will NOT allow some pro kikyou person to disgrace OUR group.. (Like I said, go ahead and flame me, Kikyou lovers, I have been criticized by LOTS of kikyou lovers already, I don't mind another one..) Here are some good reasons to hate Kikyou.. (LET'S SEE IF WE ARE CHILDISH OR NOT...)
(i GOT THIS FROM THE GROUP)
1.She kept trying to drag Inu Yasha down into hell with her, when all he wanted to do was avenge her death. And even after she gave up on trying to drag him down to hell for a bit, she still talks about how when Naraku is gone.... They will be together in hell.
2. She lives off of the souls of innocent dead women! Their poor souls are being used to "fuel" her clay body before they can reach heaven or be reincarnated. Kikyo is deliberately messing with the natural processes of their after-lives.
3.She stole the jewel shards Kagome had collected and handed them over to Naraku, increasing his power. Plus, her reason for doing this makes absolutely no sense at all!
4.When Kagome's arrow destroyed his first body, Naraku was very weak. Kikyo walked into the cave where the monsters were fighting each other (in order to make Naraku a new body) and promptly broke the spell. She handed Naraku a newer, incredibly strong body on a SILVER PLATTER. Had she shot the demon, it would have been destroyed. But no, Kikyo chose to make things that much more difficult.
5.When Kagome saved her life, not ONCE but TWICE (episode #98 & #151), Kikyo didn't even thank her! It doesn't matter if your worst enemy is the one who saves your butt, it's common courtesy to be thankful. But I guess with all that Miko training, Kikyo never had the time to learn manners.

After all, in episode 98 Kikyo was prepared to give up and rot away in that cave. It was Kagome's will that got them out of there! In episode 151, Kagome didn't hesitate for a second to save Kikyo.Why? Because Kagome is a loving, selfless person. Kikyo is the total opposite.

6.Kikyo is all about hatred and vengeance. It's like, it was 50 years ago, girl, LET IT GO ALREADY! Most girls would have given it up after the first six months! But nooooo, not Kikyo. She even gets a second chance at living a life. One would think that would be enough motivation to get past anything holding you back, like insane grudges that don't make any sense. But Kikyo isn't moving forward at all. Like Kagome said, she is stuck on the last day of her human life.
7.She is incredibly narrow-minded and flat out refuses to accept anyone else's point of view/input (just like her fans!). I mean, they told her the truth about her death, she ignores it. Inuyasha tells her to be careful and to not underestimate Naraku, but she goes and almost gets herself destroyed by him. Like, TAKE A HINT every once in a while! It might save your second life!

GOD!!! You think HESE good reasons CHILDISH!??!?! GET A LIFE ALREADY!!

 

Well, writing in caps is childish and getting angry at one sentence is also. I understand what you're saying and I respect your opinions, but next time, don't copy it from someone else and find your own reasons. I don't intend to be mean, but I'm just saying what I'm feeling.

I consider most, "Kikyou Haters and Kagome Haters sites." childish. The majority of sites out there is just pure flaming a certain character. But some, I have to admit, there are pretty good hate sites. They back their opinions with facts and are fully wise doing so. But all the characters in any manga or anime has a certain role within the story and without them, possibly the story could "drag."

I have offically learned to be respectful towards others opinions on the internet and in reality, and so, I do not release my wrath on such things and learned to be both pro-Kagome and Kikyou. *sighs* I'm proud of myself. *huggles self*

Anyway, back on topic. Nice site, I have to admit. ^_^ I've attempted to make my own little shrine for my most beloved character, but failed many times, since my internet time is limited.

I think all Inuyasha fans by the way, have encountered at least one hate site at one point.

I don't hate either of them. I agree here with lvr4eva, that without certain characters, a story could drag. But then, hating is such a hurtful thing, even toward fictional characters. Why drag yourself down with it?

I couldn't even hate Doctor Hess.

 

I definetly hate Kikyo. I thought the site as was just hilarious but not childish. I just don't understand how people can like kikyo but whatever.
