I've made a few changes to the Drop Down Menu to both increase download times and reduce my bandwidth requirements.

The main menus (A to Z) are now contained in a separate JavaScript file that will only be downloaded once (speedy!) - the Subbed part is created "on the fly" and that's where you should add your favourite forums because the A to Z listings will no longer show if there are new posts and who posted when - this will only apply to forums you have subscribed to. To subscribe to any forum, click on the link at the top right when browsing the threads in a forum.

Hope this will work out and thanks for your patience.

    John / Cloud.

I'll be the first to say that I liked the old menus better. Easy to manage and easy to now where new threads are without having to subscribe to threads. But, I know saving bandwith is important, and having the "subbed" menu helps out too, so my mail doesn't become bludgeoned into oblivion with M2A mail. :D I love the site 'nuff to look through new threads myself. :D

[edit]I say nothing of any importance in this section of me edited post whatsoever. Well, not that you'd know, now that it's been edited. BWAHAHAAHAHAHAHA!!!![/edit]

An oversight on my part! Moderators, please add the Administration forum to your Subscribed forums.

Oh, I was wondering what was up, but that seems like a great idea. And I have a bit of a question, when you subscribe to a forum don't you receive an e-mail whenever a new message is posted in that forum? I've never exactly subscribed to a forum ^^>

There's an option in the UserCP that allows you to turn off Email notification. At first I was afraid of that as well, but I then remembered that I turned it off. :D

Arigatou Izzy san! I'll be sure to turn it off ;) And this will probably help a tonne with bandwidth, the stupid CRTC in Canada is forcing people to have to pay for bandwidth after a 5 gig limit/month is reached. Blarg >< sorry to go off topic @_@x

I did notice that it loaded a bit faster this time though!

I think the new dropdown menu is pretty neat, and if it saves bandwith and speeds up the site, even better.
