Eirtaku Eirtaku forum gone private

Due to the problems some of the Eirtaku members have had fitting in with the rest of M2A, we've decided to make the forum private.
This means that only people that have been granted access, can see this forum. I've added all the Eirtaku members I could find... hopefully I havent left anyone out by accident.
To get access you have to PM me or Mordeth (Actually, if you dont have access you wont be able to read this message, as this board is invisible if you dont have access )

I guess we'll soon find out if this was a good idea or not. We can always go public again if not...

Nice Irish only forum hopefully, will we really get many new members though if we have this set up?
I'm not sure how the various new Eirtaku's are finding this place anyway.

Slydice, I know what you mean... I don't think we'll be getting any new users by being private...
This might not be the best solution, but if someone has a better idea, please post it.

 

how about asking the rest of m2a to but out of our business? and leaving the modding of our forums to us

Eirtaku is still visible on the main M2A page where it has the latest posts made.

I'm guessing there's no way to have the forum visible on the M2A main board page, but to only have some sort of contact Mordeth or Kenshin message when the page is entered.

 

mm, well when they see that they can't enter eirtaku they will prob ask, or pm one of us anyway..

actually, the eirtaku forum isn't visible in the drop down menu or the main page unless youi are authorised to view it..

i opened up m2a after deleting my cookies and I had to log in before I could even see eirtaku ..hrm

this could indeed affect new members joining

 

Nobody actually reads those rules when registering on any site.

If you mean check whether the email addy is eircom.net etc., that won't work too well cause most ppl seem to use hotmail accounts.

Well people might only join after seeing the forum, so the problem is that guests cant see the board...
And I wouldnt have a problem giving access to non-irish people if they want it...

 

i've no prob at all with non-irish (hereafter refferred to as sub-human ) members posting on eirtaku, as long as they don't take offense at stupid little things and start complaining, if they don't like it here they don't have to come.
