Has anyone read this? I can't BELIEVE how different it is from the anime! Hitomi doesn't look the same, and she morphs...It's good, but it's hard to believe that it still Escaflowne. OH! And Dilandou looks more like a girl than ever!

I have got the first issue of it, and I find it amusing...even though I didn't have the patience to watch the anime :D. But I am looking forward for Vol 2 :)

Part of the reason this manga is so different from the anime is because it's the shounen manga, which was the longer running of the two (there's a shoujo version as well). The manga also came after the anime.

I don't know how I feel about it as I haven't really read it, only seen pictures. I wish they had licensed the shoujo manga as well, but that seems to be a lot harder to find for some reason.

Oh well. These things happen, after all.

Yea. It says that right in the manga. I want to see the shoujo version as well. But it's only two books long! *pout*

Have you read the second one yet?! OMG! I feel bad for Dilandou's servents.

Escaflowne used to be my favorite anime in the world. I hunted every last bookstore within a one-hour drive.

    And I found no Escaflowne.

    I weep.

Death Society helped me find a website of it and i love him for it(friend love) i didn't know there was a manga of it! I live in Illinois, USA where can i buy the anime? I'll check the Walden books for the manga.

Try Amazon.com or www.suncoast.com (Suncoast Motion Picture Co.). They have the individual volumes of the anime and the box set.

I've leafed through the manga a bit... interesting, it is. I'd like to read the shoujo one too, someday. I used to have this huge obsession with Esca back when it came out, and then I left it alone for a bit, and now I'm back in it... :)
