Esca fanart is difficult to find. You can check www.deviantart.com for some, but there really isn't all that much there that really stands out. (My username on DevArt is dilandau-sama, eheheh. X3) The problem is that not many new Esca fansites are coming into existence; the dedicated fandom is relatively small.

Actually, I believe that's a screencap of young Folken from the Escaflowne movie. He DOES look a lot like Van there, though, given the hairstyle.

My avatar is, as Dilandau noted, taken from a screencap of young Folken from the movie.

Fanart can be difficult to find, and I have to admit that I haven't done much looking for it. Again, Dilandau has given a good starting point in DeviantART, and I'm sure there are other online art galleries out there that may have Escaflowne fanart in them.

Maybe I should try my hand at fanart....but I'd probably send everyone screaming in terror or something. *wry grin*

You won't know until you try. ~_^ Hell, I've seen an ugly chibi Folken with an afro. X_x Unless you can top how disturbing that was, I really don't think you can scare me.

I'd offer more possible sources if I knew any... *thinks* The Gaia art forums (no relation to the Gaea of Escaflowne, heh) might have something, but I never really got into the site, so I don't know for certain if there's much there.

The "Gaia" part was the reason I started going to that place. I'm addicted to it now. That's also the reason I'm never here much anymore. XD I'm also on Devart (doafox.deviantart.com).
But I think Japanese sites are mainly what I meant. ^_^; Yawl never go to jap art sites? (And I don't mean Boyis)...

*Hasn't seen the movie in ages*
Oh well. *imagines as Vahn-chan anyway*

I honestly haven't seen a lot of Japanese Escaflowne fanart, aside from doujinshi. o_O I can't think of a single site, actually. Escaflowne really wasn't as popular over there as many other series - hence the real lack of official merchandise.

Now, if you wanted doujinshi scans, I could list you a few sources. However, most of the ones I know are... *ahem* Of the yaoi nature. >_>

    http://www.beans-etc.com/slapslapslap/index2.html

That's a Dilandau fansite which has, among other things, a whole load of doujinshi covers - which are great examples of fanart. (Most are Dilandau-related, of course.) The covers are safe for general viewing (nothing graphic, but some imply shounen ai), though the site does have some (marked) yaoi content - don't say I didn't warn you. ^^ The fully-scanned doujinshi there ARE yaoi, however, so be careful.
