Hey, everyone. I'm a big fan of fighting/martial arts games, and since I'm still new to the wonderful world of anime, I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good fighting/martial arts anime series to check out. Currently the only two ones I know of are Dragonball Z and Yu Yu Hakusho. Any info/help would be greatly appreciated.

Ranma 1/2 has some very interesting fights, if you don't mind sillyness. Everything from Martial Arts Takeout, to Martial Arts Figure Skating, to Martial Rythmic Gymnastics... :)

If you want something a little more serious, my othe recommendation is Rurouni Kenshin. More swordplay involved than martial arts, but some definite good fights, particularly at the series' height (Kyoto Arc).

As for others, I have heard Flame of Recca bounced around in the same sentence as fighting. Not seen it myself, but it seems to fit the bill.

How could I not recommend Cowboy Bebop?Especially the fight at the end of the movie!:D

And out of the 4 episodes I've seen,I'd say Neon Genesis Evangelion has some good robot fight scenes.:)

    Also:Tekken:The Movie and X:The Movie.

    Just a few.:)

Among all the fighting manga/anime, I'd recommend:
    - Naruto, if you enjoy ninja fights, kunais and sharikens, special abilities and so on...
    - Rurouni Kenshin is the classical sword fight anime.
    - Ranma1/2 has very funny fighting scenes.

Some of the Gundam series have good fights. Of course, the plots will make you want to throw up ...
Kenshin is really probably the best bet.
And if you don't mind the completely excessive disregard for all moral standards, Ninja Resurrection has some good action. A little disturbing in some scenes though, what with the decapitation and all.
Ninja Scroll's a good movie for action, and so is Blood: The Last Vampire.

For hand-to-hand fighting I'd recommend Street Fighter Alpha: The Movie.

I heard from a friend of mine that Real Bout Highschool has really great and realistic fighting. Apparently the plot gets a bit confusing sometimes but he really likes the fight scenes  Personally I'd suggest Ranma 1/2 :p Nice and silly. But that one episode where Hiei fights the ice guy in YYH comes to mind too.

I've heard a few bits and pieces about Ronin Warriors, and even though it sounds a bit like Power Rangers, what with the armor changes and all, it could be good from what I've heard. Anyone seen it and care to give their opinions of it?
