Inu-Yasha frien from school needs help

my friend and i are doing as progect for school and i dont want to help her. we are writing a book about anime shows and iy is one of them. she wants to know about the shikon jewel.

how many peices are there

who wants them

 

I have no idea of how many shards there are. But these are the people who I can think of that ar after the shards. Some of them die though.

-Naraku (and Kagura, Kanna, and the Sichinin tai who all work for Naraku)
-Inuyasha, Kagome, Shipo, Miroku, Sango
-Kouga (kind of not really though)
-Yura
-Laishou Kyodai
-Nikukui no Men

 

Add to that list all sorts of random youkai, espeically a good number of the "youkai of the day."

And as for shards, there are an indeterminate number, as no one ever really counts. Just know that there are a lot.

If you need good information on how the jewel was formed and all, watch the episode (around 33, I believe) where Sango shows them the cave with the bodies of Midoriko and all those youkai. They explain the history of the jewel there. Also, know that Sango's village was harboring the jewel, but gave it to Kikyo to purify. Kikyo was then attacked by Naraku, and that whole mess happened, and the jewel ended up in Kagome's body instead, and later got shattered and scattered. ^_^

There is a lot of demons, hanyo, and humans who want the shards. The best way for your school project is to describe about the jewel, what it does, and why demons and others are after it. Right know there is an undetermine amout of shards. If someone really wants to know. tell them for example to break a mirror and see how many shards that they get. Each time they break a mirror it will be a differnt amount of shards. you can only guess considering you do not know where all of naraku shards came from. You can even tell about a few episodes of what happens when they use the jewel for evil purposes.

 

doesnt it depend on the size of the mirror

 

maybe but that is just an example for the jewel considering it broke apart.
even if the mirrror was large are small and you had two mirrors the same size and you broke them. they won't have the same number of shards and sometimes the shards are so small that you would't be able to count them all.
