Video Games Gamers.com and BIG Nintendo news

It is really weird, ever since Friday night the gamers.com site has been down. I also just got the Febraury issue of EGM which is affilated with that site and seen an ad for new magzine called GMR. It is a magazine put together by Ziff-Davis and GMR is short for Gamer. So I am thinking that maybe GMR is taking over the Gamers.com sit. So I am thinking that EGM, Official PS Mag, and other associated magazines will be having to get another URL (website).

They used to be videogames.com but for some reason it got changed to gamespot.com and than gamespot stop associted its site with the magazines. Than the mags got the gamers.com site and now that site is down, go figure

Well some news I seen on the site before it went down was that Nintedno does indeed plan on making another system. They are going to try and release it sometine in 2005, probably sometime at the end of 2005 though. They went on to say that the PS2 had a year and half jump on them last time, but this time they will not. They also said that if they do get taken out of the console business than they will be out of the whole video game business.

Well I guess I and alot of other people were wrong about the Nintendo not making another system. And it really sucks that if they do get taken out that they will not make games for other systems like Sega does. If the site does become active again the nintendo news would be on last thursday's news.

Don't get too comfortable there Neph, this next Nintendo console coud still flop.

Well I guess I was wrong about gamers.com getting taken over by the new GMR magazine. The site is back online, I guess it just went offline for the weekend. Anyway here is a link to the news about the next Nintendo console Nintendo Reveals Launch Date for Next Console

As could any console. Unless its fans are so fanatically devoted to the brand that they'll buy any crap the company shoves down their throats.
