Neon Genesis Evangelion Geart news about the NGE live action movie.

I have found (from a good source ) that they will not be casting (you know who I'am talking about)in the movie, that the producers will be casting new child star actors.Starting at the age 12, cause the movie itself will take about two years two make, so they would be around the same age. So no 20 year olds in this movie or any kinds of actors that are allready past the age of 14. I hope this IS good news for you fans out there.

 

Though that is good news it is also bad news. Since they are young they have very little acting experience, especially for those complex emotional roles.

 

I'd have to agree with Raven that since they're going to pick youngin's for the parts, well, their acting skills won't be too great. Oh well, i guess we can hope for the best. Maybe they'll pick kids that did acting for most of their life, or practice their acting skills in auditions.... i don't know, i'm just trying to see the positive side of this. I hope in the end this movie turns out to be one hell of a movie!!! Is there an estimation as to around what time the movie might release?

 

personally I have a deep loathing of child actors, just take a look at the kids in the harry potter movies, admittedly many of them were new to acting but daniel radcliffe had appeared in movies beforehand and he's not much better than the rest of the cast

and if thats not enough just remember the kid who played anakin in eps 1 I think he had previous experience also

I think i'd prefer to see 16 year olds play the parts, after all there is a reason they use older kids to play younger characters, but then there's the two year filming problem.... are you sure it'll take two years, the entirety of LOTR only took 15 months the rest was just editing+special effects
