Anime Good Deal or Big Scam?

I stumbled apon this website one day:

It said that it had anime DVDs like Excel Saga for as low as $6!
Sounds good,right?You'll notice that hardly any of these DVDs are region specific.Doesn't that mean that they're bootlegs?They have a Cowboy Bebop bundle for like $119 or something.It contains the entire series,the movie,and all the soundtracks.It says that it's region free and the languages are English and Japanese.The subtitles are English,Chinese,etc.

So take a look for yourself.Tell me what you think.Is it legit?'Cause I'm thinking it isn't.

 

hmm, i've paid for items before at national chain retailers before and found stickers on them saying things like "for promotional use only" and "must be retured by demand of production" authentic dvd's for $6? me thinks u get what u pay for. i wouldn't pay $6 for someones bootleg...

1. Any DVD that is at Region 0 and has English and Chinese Subs with original Japanese Audio is Bootleg.

2. Every imported DVDs on that site are Bootleg/HK DVDs

3. Is it legit? well it's illegal, but who gives a ****. But beware as most HK DVDs have their share of problems, and some are just poor *** qualities: BUY AT YOUR OWN RISK.

4. I'm not sure about the domestic DVDs, as they do seem legit, but it's cheap, not that I don't trust them, but I hate Paypal(c), I'll stick with good old drive to store, buy it or steal it method.

 

Hey,yeah!I never did notice the wallscrolls.Those are pretty cool.

 

I was looking at the boxed set of Hellsing, and underneath it were the individual DVDs for $2 less than the boxed set.. So it is probably a scam or the boxed set is a bootleg..

I have ordered from them meny times and i have to say they are not poor quality. except for a few spelling errors here and there. But i have not been disapointed by them yet. They are a great site. I dont know if its lejit or not but i bet everyone here has

downloaded anime
downloaded games

at least once. I dont really care if its legit but it is a good seller. plus they also sell non import versions to that are avalabe at most stores where anime is sold.
i give that site like 5 stars

 

Some of the DVDs they have for sale are legit, but most of them seem to be bootlegs. At least the import DVDs are....

I don't know how I feel about it, but it's your choice.

Well I have bought chinese DVD's many a time and it is exceptionally good when they have titles that are ultra rare and such. Although my GUndam 0080 and 0083 had some pretty bad subs. But are indeed watchable. My Gundam movie trilogy was of exceptional quality.

I highly recoomend that place if you wish to get manga that is impossible to get where you live.

 

Hong Kong rips subs suck horribly. Funnier than "All Your Base" though. I wouldn't buy them unless i heard they stole somebodies fansub or the subs were miraculously good for some reason.
