Celebrations Good News To Most, Bad To Others

Well, here's the low-down... some of you may have noticed you haven't gotten a sarcastic remark or cynical quip from me for some time, coming up on a week now, and now that I finally have access to the internet I'll explain such, the explanation quite simple, really. See, my computer sucks. Plain and simple. Anyways, for some reason, it won't let me log on to any internet service, yada yada yada, doing some things to try and correct the problem, but isn't going too well. So, until further notice, just wanted to verify with everyone that I'll be out of commission.

Yes, yes, I know, you'll all miss me (yeah, right). See you when I see you.

 

Are you kidding? Why, just the other day, Seb and I were talking and it was like...where's Mattykins?

We miss you, (and I miss your music ) so I hope the problem is corrected soon!

Was wondering where in the world you went, but hey, we all have computer problems, because frankly, one's computer is never good enough. New stuff comes out by the dozen every day, and with them come glitches and crashes and the all-fun malfunctions. Ah well, happens to everyone. At least ye got yer sledgehammer.

Ugh, I know what it's like to have a crappy computer. :sympathy:
Mine is a nine-year-old Intel Pentium 133, with 1.0 Gigs of Hard drive, 32 megs of RAM, Broken 8x CD drive, Windows 95, and so on.

The best cure is a new computer, but, failing that, can you get to a public library? I don't know what they're like in your city, but in Edmonton, you can go to a public library and use the internet there for 1 hour per day. At least then you could get on a little bit. If not, while... I guess we'll see you soon, eh?

Why must the names change! I had no idea who Dante was, which had me worried since I should at least have heard of a moderator with 600+ posts..

I had to search through his past posts until I found a thread where someone quoted him (since the names in the 'originally posted by' blurb deosn't change).

i know. me too. it'll take like almost 15 minutes just to start up the computer.

Back with a vengeance, baby

Well it seems all's well. I restored my comp (meaning started from scratch), after using about 15 CDs to save all the junk I had (or the junk I wanted to keep), and am now back, hopefully, for good. Just taking the time now to go and put the stuff back on my computer.
