It certainly is an excellent film but it's not your typical anime fare. It's one of those rare films that will break your heart, a very sad and potent film.

Is a very good one, but be prepared for something really strong. It's a wonderful story against war, and all what it means for common people. Was made by studio Ghilbli and its director was Isao Takahata.

I Really wanna see it. Too bad it's not as common as it is popular.

Grave of the Fireflies looked pretty cool. It sounds alot like Barefoot Gen, like the war for civilians, BarefootGen is the Hiroshima nuking.

well, i have to say that this moive is cool, and such. i have seen it. at the end i was crying. it is a good movie. ya, i can say that it is about a war and the bombing that took place in Japan. but if you want to watch it, you better have some tissue with you when you do watch it.

Grave of the Fireflies is one of my top favorite films (like . . . ever) and I would recommend it to anybody who is a fan of Studio Ghibli, anime, or just movies in general. I was nearly moved to tears by it, and it's definitely worth owning if you end up liking this movie.

Let me sum it up: Grave of the Fireflies is entirely about two kids and how they die. [Don't worry, this is no spoiler, since they are shown dead in the beginning].

I just saw it today, it was so sad!! If I knew it before, I wouldn't watch it. I usually don't like watching sad movies, cuz I end up crying and fell bad for the rest of the day!!

Wonderful anime, really enjoy it, except for the crying part!
