Eirtaku Gundam Fans!

According to the Cartoon Network UK website, the Gundam Wing movie, Endless Waltz, is to air next weekend at 10:30am on Saturday and 10:00pm on Sunday.

It's a bugger though, coz I'm going to see United play that weekend and I won't get the chance to see it! ARGH!

Please let me know what ye think of it if ye see it!

 

Don't worry, you won't miss much.

Its just a crappy rehash of the series with better animation and new mech designs.

Bastard thing cost me £30 to get from the US, why I bothered I'll never know.

I'm a big Gundam Wing fan so I think I'll enjoy it but I guess I have to wait and see it first.
I was planning to buy the DVD but the website I was trying to buy it from had so many errors.

Even though Endless Waltz is rubbish it's good to see that CN are showing more anime.
I'm still hoping they'll show Outlaw Star and Robotech like they did in the US.

That would be great alright! I've heard that Outlaw Star and Robotech are supposed to be pretty good animes, but I've never seen them!
Toonami US have a much better selection than we do.

 

CN US have been slightly crappy in their treatment of some anime though.

They cancel MS Gundam towards the end of its run due to low ratings, skipped a bunch of episodes of Cowboy Bebop and also canceled Robotech before the Mospeada saga due to the fact that it featured a transvestite.

The Robotech issue doesn't sound that offensive. I'm sure that it would have caused no harm at all.
I'm not sure whether it was MS Gundam or 08th MS Team, but they stopped airing one of them for a while because of the New York tragedy.
That sounds kind of childish to me.

 

08th MS was a hit and finished its entire run.
MS Gundam was canceled partly because of the crappy viewer ratings.

I wouldn't expect a 1979 show to do well.
Anybody remember what happened when RTE showed Speed Racer in the late 80's?

I think Endless Waltz is very good to be honest.

That is, for Wing standards. For Gundam standards it is average, but still good, in my well-documented opinion.

0080 is indeed very good, but I stick with 0079 because, well, it has Zakus, it has Char, Bright... meh, everything ^_^

No, 0079 was cancelled in the US because in some episodes they crashed the Core Fighters/Boosters against Zeon Mobile Armors, and there is MUCH more killing going on in 0079 than in 08th MS Team, hence they cancelled it. It wasn't doing THAT bad, proof of it is that "Mobile Fighter G Gundam", "Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam" and "Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack" (^_^) are being dubbed to english for official release in the US. Not to mention the AMAZING production of 0079 toys released before Japan, like the new Mobile Armor line. I am waiting for an Elmeth ^_^

When I say 0079 I mean Mobile Suit Gundam, the first tv show or the movie trilogy (which is the one I own and it rocks please, ok thanks).

I thought it was great!
I have to say it was a bit different from what I pictured but that was for the better. It wasn't just focused on action, it had story too. The animation was great, alot better than the series'. Two-Mix's song, White Reflection, accompanied the film very well(I love their music).
I just wish it was more longer and those breaks on CN are so annoying. The worst part is that,...that was the end of GW never to be followed on. The characters,...gone!
Oh well, it was fun while it lasted!
