It's a newer series, kind of in the same vein (thus far) as Noir. Except that all the girls are around the age of 10. Heh. Truthfully it's kind of disturbing, but I can't stop watching it, so it's probably part of its charm.

Anyway, basically, from what I gathered from the first two episodes...Jose is part of a British ops group that use family-less girls as their fighters. Each op is assigned one girl, kind of like a bodyguard. They deal with threats to the nation and such, or drug/crime lords as they've done in the first two episodes. The girl he's assigned is named Henrietta, and it seems that her weapon of choice is an FN P90. These two have a wierd relationship from the other ops groups in that Jose actually cares about Henrietta more like a sister than just a fighting tool.

Kinda cool, yet kinda disturbing. It's worth it to check it out, at least.

Saw the first eps yesterday in my local anime club and I liked it a lot. It was kinda disturbing but, eh, what isn't these days.

But lol, they carry there guns in their violin cases. rofl.

Raven, at least Ciel, Angela, and Henrietta don't start humming the theme to Desperado. I mean, it'd be neat and all...but none of them actually USE their violin/guitar cases as guns, nor do they have Bazooka, yet.

    Gunslinger Girl is ****ing great.

Reminds me alot of Noir but still, I got the manga today too :) (Yes, ADV starts to realise mangas now o.0).

Anyhow, I enjoyed it very much!

    Praise.

I've seen upto five and so far its rather ok... they seem to introduce each of the girls in each episode... No established story as yet but I'm sure it is soon to come. Anyone know how many episodes there are in total?

British? I was convinced they were Italian...

Yeah, I like it. It was a little hard to adjust to, as it definitely faces the brutality of its premise much more directly than Noir does.
