RPG Archives H.A.M: Sister Thread

In the time of scientific investigation, scientists were expeirimenting on splicing animals with human DNA to understand and make them evolve. The research data was incorrect and their mistake made a terrible accident. A nearby radiation plant contained the toxins for the splicing experiments. The toxins contained animal DNA. One day, the plant errupted of an unkown reason, and several around the plant at the time were exposed to it's toxins causing them to share certain animal DNA. The government heard word of this situation and captured & sent them to an observational facility where they would be tested and expeirimented on.

These mutants were later called H.A.M.s (Human-Animal Mutants). They were able to stay in their human form, but showed distinctive physical features of 'their animal'. If needed, they were able to morph into their animal forms.

When we have enough players, the story will lead off to their escape from the lab and the enormous city to search for a place where they can create a society of their own.

Here are my two characters...

Name: Yumitoko Shimizu (nickname: Yumi)
Age: 19
Gender: Female
Animal DNA: Red Fox

Appearance: 5'4'', average weight, very bodacious, large chested, red-orangish hair that is waist-length, peircing green eyes, red ears and tail, wears purple tube top with very short blue-jean shorts, white suspenders, black gloves that are half-cut, wears black leather boots, wears black chocker, also has sharp claws.

Personality: Loves the sense of adventure and adores the nature around her. Sometimes she can be very tricky, sly, and sometimes stealthy. She's very protective, kind, and loving. Don't pick a fight with her because she'll send you crying home. She's deeply loyal and absolutely LOVES to flirt. Basically, she makes a very good friend, but whatever you do...don't piss her off. She always carries around her flute and at night, she likes to go to the highest place she can find and play a sweet soft song that her mother used to sing to her when she was little.

Weapons: Yumi is skilled with the Martial Arts, but uses tonfa blades called the "Shadow and Light" blades.

Background: Yumi has many siblings and both parents live with her. Her family did not have much money, so she always roamed around the city for food. She basically knows every nook and cranny in the city and often hangs out at her 'secret spot'. She only had 3 friends she was close to, but 2 of them betrayed her and sent her to accomplish a dare and then deserted her. She felt connected to the wild, but was not allowed outside of the city. With wandering around, she met her 3rd friend Koji Honda and were very good friends.

Reason for being near Radiation Site: 2 of her friends dared her to steal some lab equipment for a science project. Before stealing it, the plant errupted.

What happened after being effected by the toxins: Yumi's parents saw what become of her when she returned home that night crying. Her parents in shock 'disowned' her and made her live out on the streets. She went back to her secret spot where Koji found her in her state, but still accepted her as the same Yumi he's always known.

Name: Koji Honda
Age: 20
Gender: Male
Animal DNA: White Tiger

Appearance: 5'9", average weight, fit/a bit muscular, jet black hair, icy blue tiger-like eyes, hair is shaggy and unkept, scar on left arm from a bear attack, wears a black tank top w/ a white cargo pants and white jacket, black boots and black half-cut gloves, he has a white tiger tatoo on his back, of course he has tiger ears and tail.

Personality: Likes to keep to himself, but once you befriend him, he'll be loyal to you till the end. He's very quiet and shy...but if you mess with him you'll wish you hadn't. He's very dangerous once you get him pissed off. He's not a big show off and he can not stand 'wannabes'. He's very protective with his friends. He can be very stubborn, but usually calm and collected.

Weapons: Koji is skilled with Martial Arts and he believes that his body and claws are his only weapon needed.

Background: Koji only lived with his father, who was barely at home b/c of work. His mother had died in a car accident when he was very little. He didn't have many friends as he was avoided at school. He had very good grades and was secretly in a 'photography' club. He would always wonder around the city and one day met Yumitoko Shimizu on the rooftops. They were very good friends and had a close connection. They would hang out after school sometimes. Koji secretly has feelings for Yumi, but has been careful to not let her notice it.

Reason for being at radiation site: His dad worked at the plant and happened to forget a few things in his office, so Koji did his father a favor to go and retrieve it.

What happened after being effected by toxins: His father was no where to be found and assumingly deserted him, since his father no longer wanted a child to look after. Alone and depressed, he searched for Yumi and found her at her 'secret spot' and they comforted eachother.

Name: Tellie Lyn Wilson
Age (18-21): 19
Gender: Female
Animal DNA (must have been accepted by me first): Vampire Bat

Appearance: She has Strawberry Blond Hair, Light Blue eyes. She isn't very tall she is only 5'4 and is very well built she isn't very muscular, but she does have muscel. She wears a pair of tadderd light blues jeanswith rips in the knees. She has on a black shirt that rises at the belly to show her belly ring. Her shirt is V cut in the front. ( She wasn't wearing this to her job interview) She also had on a dark pair of sunglasses.

Personality: Getty, and very hyper girl. Had a problem with saying what she felt like. She loved animals. She acted dumb, but was actually smart. She was a A student all through school with having one B which was an 88% in Math.

Weapons (optional): She has a cane now, when the bat went into her it caused her to be blind.

Background: She came from a very wealthy family. She was in all privite schools, but didn't care about weath.

Reason for being at radiation site: She was going in for a job intervew.

What happened after being effected by toxins: She became blind. Her hearing went up so well she has a sonar system. ( Like a bat) Also she needs a little blood each day, not like a ton, but like a small glass or she becomes very weak. Also she grew a pair of wings even in her human form they are there. She ties them down because she doesn't like them, but when she gets really happy or something good happens they break the straps and flutter. Also it takes a lot of energy but in her human form she is able to fly.

Name: Sergei

Age (18-21):18

Gender:Male

Animal DNA (must have been accepted by me first): Siberian Tiger

Appearance: Chin length black hair and the siberian tiger ears which are black and orange. He has a sort of golden eye color with hints of green. Sergei is usually dressed in darker clothing with long black pants, heavier black boots and a coppery sort of top thats long sleeved, the same tone of his skin color and gloves that match his ears, black and orange stripes which are fingerless. He also has a long tail ringed in black and orange. Even though hes 18, Sergeis slightly smaller for his age only 5'5.

Personality: Pretty quiet after his parents separated. He watches things from afar and learns about people as he can through their words and actions.

Weapons (optional): Not the strongest of fighters but makes up for it with agility and a good kick or punch. The only weapon he carries is a staff that would normally be used for someone about 5'8 or more, not someone whos 5'5 and shorter than his own staff. It only makes others under estimate him.

Background: Sergeis parents seperated when Sergei was 16 and hes been shifted from one parent to another, staying at random days at one house, then sent back to the other when he caused trouble or they grew tired of him. By 18, he was used to the motions and just did what he had to. His parents still treated him like some 12 year old since he wasn't the height of an 18 year old and he could only take it in stride.

Sergei does have a cousin but he never really got to know Koji since their parents were never close. He heard about his cousin but nothing that was enough to learn about him.

Reason for being at radiation site: Same as Kojis father, Sergeis mother worked at plant and was staying late. Sergei was supposed to go to her house for the next few days so rather than have his father drop him off and listen to the snappish comments his father made over his mother not being there, Sergei went to the plant to catch a ride with his mother, knowing she was working late. In the explosion, while Sergei was affected by the toxins, his mother, further inside, was killed.

What happened after your character was effected by the toxins: Soon after Sergei's father would have nothing to do with him after he appeared with tiger ears and tail and looking as odd as he did. Remembering his cousin, Sergei searches his mothers home, where he stays after being kicked out by his father, since her home is empty, searching for family pictures and trying to find a boy 2 years older than him to use when he does search for the family member he feels he can still turn to, though he knows nothing about Koji.

Name: Aira

Age (18-21):19

Gender: Female

Animal DNA (must have been accepted by me first): Rabbit

Appearance: waist length dark brown, nearly black hair that seems untouched, not a hair tangled or out of place. From the hair pokes a pair of pure, shiny white rabbit ears that when shes not alert or interested or upset, they droop and hang bent in half. Her outfit is a white tanktop under a loose fitting black top that seems to nearly drap off her sholders for how big it is on her. Her pants fall to knee length and are tight and plack also, only to show off the fluffy white bunny tail poking from the back. Shes usually gressed in good fitting, low shoes. Her eyes are a shiny clear blue.

Personality: Hyper and always smiling and giggling. She loves to pep people up and tries her best to make people happy. Shes not the hyper, bounce off the wall type, but always seems to grab onto someone.

Weapons (optional): She doesn't carry any weapons since shes not exactly a strong fighter but she does what she can.

Background:Aira is a new arrival to town when all this comes about. She was pushed from foster family to foster family since her parents were both killed in a plane crash when she was very small. No other relatives seemed to appear so she was put into the state system.

Under estimated by her good nature and now being a rabbit, that shes weak and defenseless. Aira's response is a good old kick or turn to another for help. She doesn't like being called weak, though she knows she a liability. But shes the type anyone would want to help, people just can't turn her down.

Reason for being at radiation site: Aira was just wandering and looking around. She wasn't in the plant itself but was passing on a borrowed bicycle when the explosion came about and turned her into what she was.

What happened after your character was effected by the toxins: Aira finds herself all alone after being effected by the toxins. She doesn't feel she could return to the foster home she was staying in, knowing they'd disown her at the mere sight of the white ears and white tail. She can't always wear a hood to cover the ears and its uncomfortable to sit with her bunny tail inside her pants so she always has to cut a hole in her pants for her tail.

All she can do is wander, searching for someone who will sympathize with her and help her, or someone just like her, who will protect her.

 

i just wanted to say that you can also send your characters in a PM to me for approval, b/c Kryshana might not be on. So any characters should be sent both to Kryshana and I for approval just to make sure at least one of use gets it. Thx in advance :anime:

Appearance: Long white hair, dark blue eyes, built, 6'8''
Personality: A loner, usually keeps to him self but will come to aid of someone in trouble
Weapons (optional): Fathers katana
Background: was adopted by his father at the age of 6, at the age of 9 his father started teaching his families art of swordsmenship, when he was 18, his father was killed by a gang who was robbing him. Taking up his father's katana, he went after them a slew everyone of them, now, out of school, he travels around the city helping anyone he can
Reason for being at radiation site: Kyle overheard someone was in trouble and went to go help them, he had just finished off the last member of the gang when the plant exploded
What happened after your character was effected by the toxins: after waking up from the explosion he found himself hearing things at a higher level as well as smelling things. he then found himself changing into an arctic wolf.

(this character will find out something strange is going on once we start but i wont say what)

Appearance: Short brown hair, brown eyes, 5'5'', built

Personality: honest, brave and can have a bit of a mean streak if you tick him off
Weapons (optional): was trained with a staff. its has a mechanism in it that can lenghten from a foot to 3 feet and back again.
Background: was raised in a japanese lifestyle. dad trained in him with a staff since the time was 11. was intersted in machines so he built him a staff that could lengthen and shorten. was raised with honor and pride in himself.
Reason for being at radiation site: had just got off work and wa walking home when he decided to take a short cut. he was right in front of the plant when it exploded.
What happened after your character was effected by the toxins: after he awoke he had found that wings had sprouted from his back. he quickly got home to his parents to tell them the news. they didn't disown and instead, wanted to help to figure out his starnge new gifts. they quickly realized he could transform into a falcon but his wings would stay on his back. he decided though he should go out and see if there is anyone else like him. but now he wears a long trenchcoat and "Talon ", what he now calls his staff. before leaving though he inserted a blade on each side......just in case

Animal DNA:Black Mamba
Appearance:Bald, white skin, is 6 feet tall, and has black eyes. Has a rather long snake toungue. Wears a sleeveless loose, black shirt, black gloves cut at the fingers, has baggy blue jeans, has snake skin designs on his body, and wears a necklace. Is also very muscular and fit.
Personality:Comes off cold and unfeeling to most people, he prefers to be alone more than in a group. He can be a nice guy once someone gets to know him, but is usually rude when spoken to. He is the quiet, cold type.
Weapons:Skilled at martial arts, he also carries around two long knifes.
Background:Ryu had always been a cold and lonely person, so when his parents abandoned him, he didnt care. He looked after himself from the time he was 10 and joined a gang. He quickly proved himself to be a good fighter for his young age, and started proving his usefulness by fulfillling anything the gang needed done.
Reason for being at radiation site:He was on his way to complete a mission from his gang and happened to pass by the plant when it exploded.
What happened after your character was effected by the toxins:His gang members saw him and his mutated body, and grew afraid of him. They attacked him and he used his new found powers against them, killing all of them. He then decided to go and travel alone, trying to forget the betrayal of his gang.

Name: Shizuki Tanaka

Appearance: Here

Personality: She is reserved when it comes to people she doesnt know. She is very cautious around them. She hardly shows exprestion in her face apart from when it comes to fighting. She can be nice to people when she wants to.

Weapons (optional): (in character image, the swords)

Background: Shes been an orphan since she was little because her mum gave her up about as soon as she had her because she couldnt and wouldnt take care of her. She ran away from the orphanage when she was 15, living on the streets and steal what she was able to to survive.

Reason for being at radiation site: She got caught one time stealing from a store and was caught by the police but had escaped when she ran into the site.

What happened after your character was effected by the toxins: She woke up from being knocked out by it and realised she was had changed. So she hide for a while to get used to her new abilitys and use them to her advantage.

Here is my character for the RPG but unless the story starts with the H.A.M.s already captured in the agency's building/base I wont be able to post right away.

Name: David Rotpar
Age: 20
Gender: Male
Animal DNA: Velociraptor
Appearance: 6ft tall caucasion with a medium but solid build and very dark brown hair that has been feathered back. Almost always wears pitch black jeans, socks, shoes, and undershirts. He wears a black leather Jacket most of the time as well. His appearance has only moderately been affected by his animal DNA. His eyes have changed to a very dark green and the pupils are at a sort of in-between phase form regular to reptilian. His skin has become much more tough and has some very faint reptilian patterns in it. The only other significant change in his body structure is in his legs, they have become incredibly well built, all of the muscles in his legs and lower torso have become much more dense making them much more powerful.
Personality: Despite his dark and somewhat scary appearance, David is a very kind and outgoing person. He loves cracking jokes and always tries to lighten the mood. He is always the last one to pick a fight and always tries to use his wits to get out of situations rather than his mutation.
Weapons: An arabian dagger with plant-like engravings on the side and handle, and a matching sheath.
Background: David had been going to college for two years already and had made the trip to his campus a million times. He was looking forward to his junior year and had been visiting his family for the week. His father had recently been on a business trip to the middle east and had brought back an authentic arabian dagger for David. David had been training on how to fight with knives, as a hobby, for several years. He owns a small collection that includes machetes, pocket knives, a couple illegal switch blades, and his newly acquired arabian dagger. His fighting style mostly incorporates his feet and legs for the actual strikes, his arms and hands for grappling, and one or two knives for fatal attacks.
Reason for being at radiation site: Was on his way home from his parents home and was taking his regular route past the plant when it exploded. He was far enough away at the time but believed he saw a couple other people get hit by the blast. When he pulled his car over and ran to help a secondary explosion blew him off his feet and knocked him unconscious.
What happened after your character was effected by the toxins: David was immediately captured by men from the agency after the explosion. The company/agency informed his immediate family that there had been aterrible accident and that David had been caught in the middle of it. Covering up the truth they took David to a testing facility where they wished to experiment with his body and find out why his body somehow spliced with dormant/dead DNA from there bone records unlike the other H.A.M.s on record who spliced with their living DNA samples. He has been at the agency's testing facility ever since.
