That is so not true. Actually, the "reality" does not differ too much from virtuality. People also have masks when they meet IRL. Before they get the person they want they're marvelous and very kind. Other thing is when they finally marry or similar. You should consider yourself lucky if you do get real love, either in the Internet or Real Life.

 

the two im currently enduring is my first two ever. but one i don't like any more shes just a really good friend.

i like you user18.... lol j/k... but i think you could me great people pnline...there is somewat a chancee that you will meet a crazy person who wants to kill you...ut i have found nice people on the internet...might never date online but i might date a person i met online in rl if i have met them...its sort of wierd not knowing who the person is but to tell you the truth i have met 2 of my best friends ever on this very site....

Online relationships are no fun, and it sucks to be whipped by someone online too. Having to put aside everything else to get online on time to talk to your online gf. Especially when you're in different timezones.. and will most likely never meet each other. And if you do meet each other it's because you feel pressured because if you don't it means you don't love her or him, or that's how I would feel.. and you end up spending hundreds of dollars on a plane ticket both ways. Or even driving back and forth.. It costs way too much, I'd prefer to be with someone close.

Some might say "you wouldn't pay a bit of money for the one you love", but as you get older every bit that you make and spend counts.

 

it's sad to be completely whipped in real life. but horridly sad if your whipped by someone online.

 

Yeah, I have had a crush on people over the internet before, but no story to tell for it or anything.

 

No time for internet crushes. Besides, most of the time they never work and are quite pointless, and with a bunch of internet stalkers out there its hard to trust somebody when they might be a rapist or something like that.

 

yeah...I admit that you can meet great people on the internet...I have met only a few that I would ever consider good friends...but I don't think I'd date anyone online...just because of fear...Hiro knows it too, don't you?

Actually I never beleived in dating online or falling iin love with someone that you never meant in real life. I only liked being friends with people online only and I didnt care for dating at all. I have falling in love with Nightmare here and yes its actuall love. You can call me Physco,stupid,senceless or whatever..but love is love and yes now I do belelive that you can find your soul mate online...But I'm not saying for EVERY SINGLE person here...Love can be found in many places in this world...I just thank god that he found me..Finally...ahh...yea..nightmre was my only crush online here...other than that...uh....meh...

I did... once. Not anymore thought, although i still greatly admire that person, and we both remain good friends to this day.

 

YEAH...I had people on the internet have a crush on me...some that I even met later in reality...but...it was kind of disgusting....*shudders*...i like attention...but not from people i don't know when they "cat call" me and ask me inappropriate questions....ewwie. Sorry guys....I'm happily taken...now...let me be off so I can finish snogging my boyfriend.....lmao!

 

Yeah, I dated a girl online for a while, and it was impossible to talk to other people about it because they all frowned upon it.. and then when she revealed to me that she WAS NOT a 20 year old knockout from California and was, in fact, a 15 year old kid.. with a different name, and a different face.. to me the person that I 'eDated' if you will, died, and that's no fun. What's worse is, that the relationship is always just between you and the her/him.. so if you try talking to others and sharing your feelings about it then you'll soon find that nobody can really relate, and I just shut myself from people and pouted lol..

Anyway it was more trouble than it was worth, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

 

Its kinda hard to tell if the person your talking to is the real person they say they are, i don't think there is anyway to prove they are who they are, unless you use web-cam i think, but i don't know wether that can be faked like so many other things these days.

No, I have not...Okay that's a lie.
I actually have had a crush on someone online. Just a little bit of one. It formed after we started to tlak on each other on MSN and got closer and became good friends. Once more, just a silly little thing, I was 14. I got over it in a short amount of time. eventually he found himself someone, and admitted to me he had a little bit of one on me, thus I also admitted my former crush for him as well. But it was too late. It's alright tho, I don't wnat an online relationship anyways. We're still very good friends, very good i assure you, but we have no feelings for each other. I would very much like to meet him someday, in the future.
Oh and how do I know he no longer has feelings for me?
Let's just say I'm not his type.

Tho, I think there's some people that have thought I have crushes on them because i think I cna a little bit flirty? XD I dunno, I think Neph thought I had something for him. XD


Anywho, I don't think online crushes are that stupid. online boyfriend-girlfriend relationships are however.
I think that they (online crushes) might be the basis of a relationship. But I think they should meet in person before "dating". You know what i mean?
My grandma met her third husband online, and the two of them are very happy together.

EDIT: btw, I am not telling who that person was. No matter what. I'm not saying where i met him or anything, no matter how many times you ask. Why? Because it's none of your business.
