Some friends and I are making an online game. Currently it is based complety on Greece. I have a different idea but they don't like it.. lol

So anyway.. tell me which idea you'd rather be playing.

    Greek-
All Greece with some of it's mythology poured in. You fight the gods and stuff on quests. Classes are things like gladiators and priests. Humans are the only race.

    Gothic-
Basically, think the movie "Underworld" and that's how this is. The game is all about a war between the vampire and werewolves hidden in the modern world. Classes are things vampire, werewolf, and the vampire hunter, those basically count as races too..

    What would you play?

So you just ripped off Underworld, and what seems to be a slightly changed version of Troy? :/

I vote for "Get an original idea".

    Riiight... :anger2:

Have you seen the movie "Troy"? I doubt you have, so you can't say our Greek idea is a ripoff of some movie that you know nothing about, not to metion the movie looks more like it's about Roman ideas then Greek mythology. You won't find any of the characters in that movie going one-on-one with Zues i assure you.

Don't tell me that "Underworld" is an origional concept. It's story is a concept that's been around for ages. Play "Vampire: The Masquerade."
I'll bet the producers of the movie got 90% of thier stuff from that.

Ideas don't have to be something no one has ever heard of before to be good anyway.

    Anything else? :/

The Gothic one reminds too much of the "Vampire" series, you know the games: Vampire - The Masquerade etc.

And for the Greek...well, I don't know. There are pretty much alot of those mmorpgs that have greek mythology. But I really do think you should get an orignal idea. Besides, orignal ideas do give great impressions, look at Far Cry for example.

Keep it on non-bashful area please.

Ugh dump the gothic aspect, it's almost never done well and doesnt even fit IN with Greek culture (which was very stoic).

And Troy is based on Greece... how you even got the notion Rome had any part in it I don't know...

Anyway as far as the Greece game goes, the second you mentioned taking on gods I just rolled my eyes. That's WAY too over the top.
