Inu-Yasha How Does it End?

Oh gods, if they even attempted an Inuyasha sequel (which it's doubtful they would do, this series has been building up to its ending for awhile, and unlike series like DBZ I suspect this will have a definitive ending), I would sneak out deep into the night with a crappily sewn ninja suit and slash them all to pieces. Let's be honest here; I LOVE Inuyasha, it's my favorite series of all time (it's also one of my ONLY series of all time, so that may account for some of it ), but it does tend to *drag* a bit at times. Episodes 1-..oh, about 52 were definitely stimulating and entertaining (again, this is all opinion), but generally everything from about 52-whenever the Shichinitai episodes start [and even those to a certain extent, though I haven't actually seen them for myself] didn't do much to advance the plot. Don't get me wrong, some of my absolute favorites fall in between those points, it just began to lose its magic for me. Luckily Takahashi decided to pick up the pace from that point, and since then plot development is abundant, and it seems identical to the series I adored so much to begin with.

However, Inuyasha *NEEDS* to end. If it doesn't it'll turn into another DBZ, a show with way too many episodes that do nothing to advance the plot where fans all over the anime kingdom jeer and mock it, using it as a classic example of "trash anime". (Actually people around here do that enough with Inuyasha as it is, but if a sequel is announced it'll only get worse).

But while I think the series definitely needs to conclude, I'll certainly miss it (that's an understatement, I'll probably become a recluse and sit around watching/rewatching it, but that's a whole different thread entirely).

Back on topic - I know, isn't that a sad theory? Doubtful, though, it's much too specific to be right on target, but for all we know certain elements could be included. So who do y'all think is going to finally vanquish Naraku? Any thoughts?

 

That would kind of be a cool way to end the series but Im still hoping for Inuyasha/Kagome to be together forever at the end.

 

Ive also heard about that ending to inuyasha. I saw it on another forum, it says that....kikyo will go to hell, kagome will be transported to her own era since she wont have a purpose there because all the shards would have been collected, BUT she will lose her memories of all the times she had with inuyasha. Inuyasha may die in the final battle with naraku, or may lose all his memories of kagome. A sad ending yet it seems fitting. *dodges thrown objects* I also think that if inuyasha were to die, kagome heartbroken, would make a wish on the shikon jewl to either revive inuyasha, or use it to forget all her memories of inuyasha and seal the well.

 

I know this is out of the topic but if Kikyou was good in her past life why is she going to hell?

 

I dunno, I've often wondered about that myself. I speculate that maybe, at least in this particular setting, a heaven doesn't exist. *shrug* But I don't really have a lot of time to type right now, so I'll save W_G the pain of being forced to read another one of my famous ten paragraph entries.

That's doubtful, seeing as many of our long time frequenters of the Inuyasha board have already viewed the movie by this point, and we probably would've heard about it by now if Inuyasha actually died.

 

i've seen the movie, and all i have to say is... that's SOOOOOOOO FALSE! Like, OMG! Now i feel like taking out my Barbies and playing with them, eeeee!

I haven't Been watching Inuyasha anymore... I never thought I'd say this but...it IS getting pretty boring. Not because I don't LIke the show it is just because THEY KEEP showing THe same eps Over anad over! YUK

anyways To me it doesn't matter if it ends because I Didn't see any eps close to the ending.... will be a sad thing though..
I hope No one spoiles the ending Or else There Will be less exitement In the show...

 

My ending would have to be that the jewel is compleated and naraku gets hold of it the inu gang fights tirelesly with the new eviler naraku until kikyo arives and sadly relizies theres no place for her in this world any more, she says something to inuyasha along the lines of,"I'll wait for you in the after life......*looks to kagome then back*...perhaps you'll bring kagome to." then with all her strength drags naraku to hell with her. the normal hook ups happen and all is well in inu land.

 

I'm just wondering how exactly Kikyo plans (yes, don't throw dodgeballs at me [throw grenades! duh!], I know her plans have changed, but we'll go on a magical fairy caboose back to the start of the series) to exist with Inuyasha in hell. I mean if it were possible for you to start a relationship in hell then what exactly is the purpose of hell to begin with?

 

UUGGG!!! why do peole keep emailing me about that?!!!! *takes deep breath* go read my part in 'why is kikyo in hell?' then please try to get where im coming from. PLEASEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!! But none the less i will change 'hell' to 'after life' to apease the confused.
