Incidentally, my nic is MamiyaOtaru, because I tried to get OtaruMamiya back in Nov. '99 as my Napster nic, but someone had taken it. So, I went with the more correct MamiyaOtaru (if you can overlook the lack of a space) and have stuck with it since.

'First name' is kinda a wierd way to call it for Japanese names... but yah, his given name is Otaru, Family name Mamiya.

Other places in anime where 'Mamiya' appears: in FLCL, it is on Haruko's binoculars. I suppose it is a brand-name..

Why hana uses Engrish? Maybe he was adopted from New Texas instead of Romana
