Drawing this as a setting pic (and background practice) for my upcoming (to be published) manga named Tekka Typhoon...
The guy in front is an android who crusifies people who are unjust... Might sound a bit heroic, but he's using it as a decoy to destroy mankind, slow but steady.
He was originally made to kill in the first place...
Completely drawn and "painted" in Photoshop 7, forgive me :_:

i like the picture, the blur effect looks nice and the androids expression is well defined.
i dont like the idea behind it though, is disrespectful for the christian comunity

Hey, he's a robot, what can you expect of him to think?
And he's actually promoting religion lol!
I'v been inspired by Hellsing, and you cannot say that series IS respectful for christian community (as in Alexander who's a "priest" and kills people/vampires)

note: i'm not atheist, I'm christian myself
note2: BMS - No slandering of any religions, please.

    well, i've never seen hellsing.

here's my point: the android is after the bad guys, and he kills them by hanging them in a cross. so, what is the idea you are transmitting? bad people are cruxified(wrongly spelled for sure)

Crucifixion was an act of capital punishment, so yes, "bad people" were executed in this fashion. I believe it was the Romans who favored this cruel method of hanging someone and letting them bleed to death.

In Christian theology, the cross has come to be a holy symbol, but that doesn't erase history and change what crucifixion was. Jesus was put through a trial and sentenced to death. He was alongside hanging murderers and thieves.

Superfly's image is disturbing, but I don't think it's quite as sacreligious as it seems at first glance.

Did you use a tablet or mouse to draw it with? I'm still trying to get used to my new tablet. The effects are nice, and the background is awesome. The guy's eyewear looks pretty psycho too.

The "message" going across is supposed to be shocking, right? Then nailing the twitching victims to crosses is actually appropriate for the character/story!

That must have been frustrating to draw on a 4x5... I dont know much about tablets but I'm guessing... I like the background and the expression on the guys face a lot... Oh and the effect the whole bloody red sky puts on my head XD

Well i didn't resize this picture, which means this is the original size i was drawing it...
Which can be a pain to do, though, with a big tablet, you'll be using your arm more than just the wrist (like i do always)

Good job! I love the redness of the pic! Wow, that is pretty tiny. But it's better than no tablet at all! *needs tablet*

Bloooooooood. Viiiiiiioleeeeeeence. Me like. Interesting idea, too, about cruxifiction. Though there's this chance your mailbox may be swarming with hate mail from devoted Christians or soccer moms once the manga is published.;)

My Wacom tablet is also the 4x5 size, and actually it feels okay. The problem is that I also end up just using my wrist, which I think will grow into a bad habit (my eyes see me drawing big on the screen, but my hand is moving a short distance). I bet that if I end up drawing on paper, my coordination is gonna get thrown off! I guess a good way to counter this is to constantly alternate between drawing with our tablets and drawing on real paper.
