Eh, dunno if that title is right but the Daft Punk music vide/anime movie thing is going to be shown in Dublin sometime in October, as part of some digital arts festival. Temple bar music centre apparently, this is unmissable, so everyone come to it and we can drink and be merry around anime. I'll post more info. as I get it, or if anyone else has info they can post it. GG.

well basicly, it's a 1h10 clip which tells the story of 4 musicians kidnapped by some ETs...

here is a small link where you could see 4 extracts (which are parts of clips it seems) :
    http://www.bacfilms.com/site/interstella/

Do the same with some good metal band (rhapsody and the legendary sword saga for example) and i'll be the happiest guy in the world... (so few things to make me happy...)

Oh, and stop dancing, you're giving me a headache, seeing you going here and there ! :glazed: lol

Well, back from it, was as good as I had hoped. Of course liking the music obviously helps alot! :D

Bad things: Getting utterly, utterly soaked from the torrential downpour that greeted the start of the movie, to shivering uncontrollably, so much so that people behind me probably thought I was dancing. Would it have cost that much extra for a marquee?! Someone needs to have a word with the organisers on that one. :)

Good things: The thingy itself obviously, plenty of enthusiastic people turned up, was almost a full house infact. Much whooping and hollering could be heard as peoples favourite tunes came on and some even had the courage to dance, which gave me the nagging feeling that the whole thing would have been alot better suited to a club environment, oh well! Final good thing, the whole show ending early enough for me and Kenshin to get the train home.

Now im warm and toasty and dryed off, tis time for me to say goodnight....:)

i didn't think such a show could be sold out. And it was.
    Hate !
i came with friends, who went away before knowing about the sold out thing because it was raining.
I - who still don't like the music - stayed, and learned i wouldn't see it... and went back alone...

Life's unfair... next time, i'll book earlier.
Well anyway, i'm not so sad, cause being outside in the rain listening to daft punk...
But i think too that in a club, or in temple bar music center, it could have been great...

The show itself was great, but the weather was really, really crap.. I don't think I could have lasted much longer in the freezing cold.

Anyway, I recommend Interstella 5555 to anyone that hasn't watched it.

It was shown in Cork last week at the film festival.
Didn't go to see it but they showed the "There's something about us" bit on Gonzo a few days ago. Looks good so I'm gonna pick it up when it's out on DVD.

I was there with some of my class(we got free tickets).
I thought it was excellent. As soon as people put away their umbrella's and I could actually see it I really started to enjoy it.

Although why they had it out doors I don;t know. I mean it's been bloody cold in dublin for weeks. So that wasn't a surprize. But the thunder storm was just pure murphy's law.
