Hey guys and gals. I just finished watching every episode of Inuyasha but the ending was sooooo disappointing... The story didn't end. Just asking here if the movies are the ending to the series? And how many Inuyasha movies are there now?

yea, the ending didn't have much closure. I guess we have to hope that the manga does, which is still being made in Japan, i think. It'll be a long time for it to be released in North America T.T Unless you can find some fan site that translates the Japanese manga themselves.

There are currently 4 InuYasha movies out. The last one was released last December. Sadly, it didn't do too great. After this, the rumours of a 2nd InuYasha season makes it less believable. IY just doesn't have the popularity it once used to have ;_; I'm not sure what's popular in Japan right now though... Konjiki no Gashbell(sp?)??? XD

    Anyhoo, welcome to Boards.jp ^_^

anime is watching it on the tv.

Manga is reading an anime out of a book which can be better at times.

It already has ended in Japan this past September, but that's only the anime. The manga is STILL going on. to answer x4nth3r's question, mangas are graphic novels. I'm sure if you go to your local book store, you'll find them. Some libraries even have them too. Most anime are from manga, including InuYasha. ^_^ hope that helped ya!

I hope you mean "the end of the manga," because there are a lot of the translated manga currently released State-side by Viz. They're flipped, but they're here. ::checks Viz's website:: Judging from their own product list, the most recent volume they've released is #21, which is actually fairly far along in the series last I checked.

Not all of the movies are "sequels," per se. The first three fall mid-series in chronological order, with the first falling around episode 45-50-ish, I believe. The second is probably around 90-ish, and the third later on, near the 140's. I'm not entirely certain on those counts, but they don't fall after the last tv episode. As far as the fourth movie, it looks like it does come chronologically after the last episode, and I heard rumors (bear in mind, these are rumors) that the series will be finished up (animated) with movies and possibly OVAs. There's also the rumor floating around that another animation company is picking the series up. Your best bet is to find a reliable newssource for anime and keep track of it.

And yes, the manga is continuing. I highly doubt Rumiko Takahashi would end a series without completing it. Though this is Takahashi we're talking about, which means the series could get quite long. Consider yourselves forewarned.

dude! you gotta read the book, not watch the anime! the anime ended on what i believe book 36 (where inuyasha and kagome are sitting in the tree. kagome's feets are burned cuz of the demons stomach acid) but i only have up to like... uh, book 39. (where kagura dies) and the movies aren't the end or whatever... hn. saw the fourth movie in japan like, 4 months ago...

It is sad that it ended the anime. It will be sometime before it ends in the states. So consider yourself lucky.

Mayyyybe, but i have my doubts now. When the fourth IY movie came out in Japan it wasn't very... well, as popular as to the other movies that were out at the time :(

Shiiko, you can just edit your first post if you have something else to say... i don't think mods here like double posts if not needed >.> <.< Hehehe. and welcome to Boards.jp

hmm, i don't recall that in the ending but well... if you can't wait up to find out how it does end, you can always check the internet for a summary on the last episode.
