    I would go with the ever popular Hikaru Utada. She sings for Kingdom Hearts.

    I also suggest:
    Nanase Oikawa and her songs
    V6 and their songs
    Do As Infinity " "

    X Japan

    Dude check out initial D if you're into techno they have a japanesse type style to them and I think the guy who sings is japanesse I have one hell of a japanesse rock song but I dont remember who it is by too bad

    "fukaimori" it's awesome this is the ending theme for inu-yasha,the one that features sesshiomaru

    Utada Hikaru
    Sakamoto Chika well she isn't really a major artist but she does nurikos voice and she sings really good.
