    I would go with the ever popular Hikaru Utada. She sings for Kingdom Hearts.

    I also suggest:
    Nanase Oikawa and her songs
    V6 and their songs
    Do As Infinity " "
    BoA
    X Japan

    I'll look for more later. Those are my very favs right now.

    Dude check out initial D if you're into techno they have a japanesse type style to them and I think the guy who sings is japanesse I have one hell of a japanesse rock song but I dont remember who it is by too bad

    Larc~en~ciel - spirit dream(ff movie soundtrack); neouniverse; kiss(i think that's the name...it's cute)

    "fukaimori" it's awesome this is the ending theme for inu-yasha,the one that features sesshiomaru

    Utada Hikaru
    Sakamoto Chika well she isn't really a major artist but she does nurikos voice and she sings really good.
