    Let's talk about Jiraya! :anime:
    Discuss anything you like or dislike about this character.
    The way he looks, dresses, acts, his profession, past, personality. etc.

    I think this character is well designed so I give him a 10/10 for character design.
    He's funny, and cool.
    I though it was funny when Jiraya demonstrating to naruto who he really was at episodes 83 and then a crow flew squawking "Stupid" in japanese, I believe the word sounds like "Ahou"

    ya. Jiraiya is hilarious. I know he doesn't mean to be, but he's the kind of character you can always get some type of joke out of. His outfit is really cool too. and his attitude. He's not some 2-d character, but its hard to find one that is in Naruto anyways, eh? I love him and how he decided to take Naruto under his wing. What I found interesting lol.. is the mole on his nose. That would be hard to cosplay..:p Jiraiya has a lot in common with Naruto. I thought that peeping jutsu he created when he was Naruto's age or even younger to be quite a hoot.

    I think part of the reason that Jiraiya became Naruto's mentor was because Naruto reminds Jiraiya of himself. That and the whole Harem no Jutsu thing ;)

    Jiraiya is one of my favourite characters, he's a wise old man but at the same time he's hillarious. Almost like Happousai, but not to that extent of perversion ^^;

    I just realized.. lol that guy! you have a skin coloured type mole/scar like Jiraiya. I htink on the same side too! cosplay as him next year that would be cool. His outfit is very neat! I can't wait for more Jiraiya action! (I mean fighting)

    lol. just finished episode 84: Jiraiya is so full of hilarious lines! He acts so full of himself but he really isn't as arrogant as he sets himself up to be.. lol no wonder Naruto still calls him Ero-sennin.

    I never realized that I have a weird mark on my nose like Jiraiya.. I've got to do a cosplay ^__^

    Jiraiya really is the perverted hermit! In episode 84 I wonder if he really knew all along that the girl he went on a date with was sent by the enemy. Or maybe he was just cocky.. but then why was he bringing her up to his room across his shoulder XD I don't think I want to know.

    I really like Jiraiya, I think he is really cool, but sometimes it makes me mad while Naruto is training and being ignored by Jiraiya. But I guess sometimes its the best for Naruto.

    hopefully he knew something crazy was going down. lol. I think it hilarious how he let his guard down for Gai. Anyways!! Naruto when training, has to learn things on his own, its that way for many a ninja. Jiraiya is there for Naruto..but lol. He has all three vices a ninja shouldn't have eh? LOL

    I mean, he could at least stay with him for a little while while taking a break from searching for Tsunade. But I do know that this was the best for Naruto to actually learn.

    I realized Jiraiya is pretty hot. I realized this when Orochimaru was biting his neck. He still looks very good for a 50 year old. Especially as well that his other two old team mates use their own means to keep themselves looking/being younger.

    I love Jiraiya. He's so awesome. ^.^ He's one of my faves, and now I even like him more than Kakashi (Yeah! FINE! GO TRAIN THAT SASUKE AND ABANDON NARUTO!). ^_^

    Jiraiya's comic relief and bad-*** put into one, which is pretty impressive considering all the other things you have to compete with to get a title of that level. Then again, when you have an anime where you can make a frog be awesome, not much isn't possible. ;)

    i think that jiraiya is okay. but the good thing is that he's kinda strong.
    and well, there's lots of people in the world who are perverted. :D

    I think there is a sad side to Jiraya... it has to do with Oro...
    [spoiler="Jiraya Oro and Naruto Sasuke" Chpt 237] Well... Jiraya has a fight with Orochimaru. He considered him as a friend... up until Oro betrayed him and Konoha... It similar to Naruto and Sasuke, where Sasukewould betray his village and friend just to get power and seek revenge [/spoiler]

    Ya, I just read that chapter recently too.

    I hope that Naruto is still going to be trained by Jiraiya, it seems like he turned it down so he could chase after and get Sasuke back. I'm glad that Sasuke won't be turned into Orochimaru until 3 years. Actually, Sasuke is pretty good at backstabbing, maybe he'll take out Oro. It is sad that the same thing happened between Jiraiya and Naruto.. I'm pretty sure the Sannin will try to make it so that what happened to them isn't repeated.

    Welll, it's funny how some of us knew the Naruto, Sakura, Sasuke team would end up being under a Sannin to be trained in some way. And I knew Jiraiya had issues with Orochimaru in the past, I mean, they were on the same team since childhood and from past flashbacks, Jiraiya wouldn't have been the kind of person to just watch Orochimaru leave and do the crap he was doing, yet maybe this is one of the reasons Jiraiya left the village too.? even Tsunade left.

    Jiraiya, I really like him. Because, even if there's so much crap going on, he doesn't let this make him depressed and bog him down. He is the majority of the time very cheerful and acts like a moron sometimes. He puts good use to frustrations in the novels he writes and chasing after women. Yet, Jiraiya may be one of the most mature and wisest characters in Naruto.
