When i was at BAAF I saw some Korean Animation and i liked it does anyone know who is realeasing it because i loved it DOGGY POO.

    Your thoughts on Korean Animation/Mankwa

The only thing I didn't like about it was that they were making such a big deal about how it isn't anime.

I saw that at BAAF with my brother, and boy was it weird watching something they show on the Korean equvilent of Sesame Streets. I was laughing most of the time and didn't have to read the subtiles to understand what the doggy poo was saying (after all I am Korean).

It was good all and all, though in my opinion Korea just doesn't have what it takes to catch up with the Japanese industry, after all a huge majority of Koreans still believe cartoons (whether American, Japanese, Canadian, ect...) are for kids and making bloody and adult like is just perverted. But I have to say I like Ragnarok and Priest (though they are comics and kinda off subject)

I haven't seen much Korean animation yet, but I've read two issues of Ragnarok, and have seen a lot of the anime-influenced art in the Pump It Up game series. Have you heard of Wonderful Days? (Click for the official site, and download the trailer.) It's Korea's largest, big-budget animation movie. It looks pretty trippy.

    bump! ^_^.
i was wondering if anyone else has seen my beautiful girl mari yet?. it's really quite unusual.

if you look at the credits for most japanese anime out there, you'll see ALOT of korean names in there. they also do most the animation for the simpsons and american animation as well. it's only recently they've started to get a bit of a name for themselves for their own stuff.
