I think inorder to draw or learn to draw manga is by looking at works of other mangaka's, and try to imitate their style and study their techniques. This way we can develop our own style inspired by that manga artist.

So I was wondering since different people might end up drawing different part of the manga, it would be wise to selecte a style that will be constant through out the manga. This way whoever is reading the manga cannot sense any changes of style. Examples of real mangaka groups CLAMP. Other great manga artist Yuu Watase, Rumiko Takahashi.

I think that Rumiko Takahashi creator of Inu-yasha, Ranma 1/2, and maison ikkoku has a unique style. One that is not very complicated to draw.

I'll be posting samples of her work here. I might be able to interprete the current character designs into Rumiko Takahashi style.

Rumiko's style isn't as complex as say...CLAMP, and as we've seen with Inuyasha and Ranma, it suits this kind of comedy.

I do like Takeshi Obata style (Hikaru no Go). I also like Rumiko's style.

    BTW Chejo love the drawing.

I can draw some. But I havn't drawn in years. Once the looks of people are set I'll be able to help there. I have the ability to almost copy a drawing perfectly from just glancing at it. i am not to good at drawing my own.

Style is usually more natural then what you pick up in otheres works, or at least thats my experience. I admire Eichirro Odas work, as well as hayao Mazakis. They both have more distinct and original( especially Oda) styles.
