Manga Ring Project Manga Ring Character Designers (Deadline lifted - any help is appreciated)

Manga Ring Character Designers

Well Character Designers, Please Gather and nominate the "head of the CD Department" then start discussing how your character should look like.

 

who are the heads of CD? O_O

 

The people that volunteered to be CDs for this project are:
Blue Crow, Inu Girl, Misao, ChiqitaBanana, Okami and me

So we expect from each of the Character Designers to do a sketch of each characters. It doesnt have to be perfect.

Characters

I was thinking of Lugata character, who may dress with little pieces of clothing which may be the reason why (girlfriend - who I guess isnt named so far) would go on the journey with her boyfriend, so she would be certain that Minato would not drool all over her. Just a thought

Demon:
Should the demon have a humar or monster form.
Cute or Scary ?
Girlfriend:
Wearing her school uniform (like Kagome-Inuyasha and Miaka-Fushigi Yuugi) or casual clothes?
Minato:
Geeky looking boy (gives off the unlikely hero look) or normal looking boy?

Please say what color their hair/eyes/clothes/etc , the Cgers may take it in consideration

^_^ umm lets see, I imagine that Lugata has pink hair and blue eyes.

Toomaa I love your sketch of Lugata. I really like your idea of the color scheme for Lugata to.

I think Minato's girlfriend should ware both school clothes and casual clothes, since I think charicters who are constantly waring school clothes are crazy (I've heard that they are pretty expensive @ Japan).

 

Demon:A little cute and scary.

Minato:Should have shaggy hair and big thick glasses.

Satomi:Should be cute and small with pigtails.

Lugata:I love your sketch,Tooma.That's how I envisioned her.But I was thinking that she should wear something lile an apron to signify her status as a chef.Just a thought.Plus it would have that sort of "French Maid" effect on guys.All you guys know what I'm talkin' about.

 

I really didn't know what kind of person Minato's girlfriend was, but I was bored so I put down some really quick ugly sketches of her with casualish cloths. My scanner lightened the whole thing/blew it up, so it looks even weirder than the origanal on paper... BTW about how old are the charicters?

Suzu started a manga ring where people volunteered to be character designers, cg'ers and etc. I guess it wouldnt hurt if you joined as well. So show us what you got

Anyway, here is my sketch of the girlfriend
she has brown hair and light brown eyes

[just state the color of the character you are drawing, beacause it would help the ones that are going to do the colored cover page]

 

i'm aware i'm not a member or anything, but i was doing nothing so i've come up with the girl's design, anyways, it may help you, byes.



i guess now you knwo my weak link is the pencil...give me a pencil and I shall stink all the way to the moon and back
about two months ago my tablet's pencil was stolen

 

The Lugata Sketch is great! Do you read my mind tooma-san or what? IT looks exactly how I imagined lugata would be. Inu-girl Design is pretty if would be perfect if it were for Minato's Girlfriend... ^_^

Is it Okay If Tooma becomes the head of the CD department? Would you like to take the job Tooma, or is there anyone interested? I've asked but no one said anything yet.

 

Grr... I didn't know about the deadline on August 2nd. But, I'll work on a couple of sketches tonight... I feel so bad that I never noticed the whole deadlinish thing.
And I was wondering about Minato and Satomi's clothes do they wear. Is it a school uniform/ or normal clothes/both?

 

I kinda fell in the same boat (except for inu girl actually got a good sketch in) i'll try to do some sketches tonight as well or this morning

as for the characters i think the

Demon: scary
Manato: a tad geeky but mostly just a ragular guy
His gf: more so innocent but not afraid to speek her mind
Lagato: sort of just one of those side main charcters like Urda little older smarter and cooler

Here's a sketch of Satomi in school clothes. I couldn't think of any thing so I just added a stripe along the skirt, tie, and shirt pocket to make it very slightly origanalish. Ergh the face looks really bad on the scanned version of it (the whole thing was like 3x smaller on the origanal sketch on paper...)

And here's a Lugata sketch , I tried to do something that went under the idea that Tooma had. I added a really plain sketch of an apron on the side to. But I think it doesn't look that great since the front view of her with a apron on makes her look like she's only wearing that.:dizzy2:
