    How does one become a moderator?Do you get reccomended or something?It doesn't have to do with posts,does it?Because bubbles only has 48 posts,and he's the moderator of the Sailor Moon forum.

    The best way to become mod is to not ask to be one. That's usually the best tip on most forums ^^

    No, but being a mod is an awesome responsibility. You need to fight spam, stop fights, and just look out for the viewing welfare of everyone on the boards.

    And put up with the whining coplaints of n00b13s and 0ldb13s alike.

    I think you misunderstood.I wasn't asking.IIn fact,I wouldn't want to be one.I don't do good with the little responsibility that I have now. just wanted to know how you become a moderator.Just a simple question,that's all.

    I think Zanza and Exiztone are trying to find out if it entitles you to have sigs which are bigger than an entire thread.

    Eirtaku is nice to moderate. Sticky a thread here, Unsticky a thread there.... a quiet life. Can't beat it.

    hehe cause if you ask, you prolly aren't the person for the job...
    and mord...the pr0n board was our little place...damnit...it's hard getting good pics like that...lol

    mods pretty much flag questions and yell at ppl for doing bad things. tho, some of us wanna be a bit playfula bout it...heh or if it gets annoying...get mean...i know i can be an *** via typed words... *^-^* especcially if you're linking to another anime forum...grrrrr

    Moderator - One who, or that which, moderates, restrains, or pacifies; One who presides over a meeting, forum, or debate; A person, or small group of people, who manages a moderated
    mailing list or Usenet newsgroup. Moderators are
    responsible for determining which email submissions are passed
    on to the list or newsgroup.


    Our team of Mods are kind of like a global law enforcement. We make sure that the walls are clean of spraypaint (spam), that crazies don't overrun the streets (bans), and direct traffic (move posts to their particular forum). And they do it all on their own time with nothing but a sense of accomplishment for themselves, and a great discussion environment for the rest of us.

    They often don't get the thanks they deserve for all their hard work. In fact, they often get the opposite - arguments and spite from those who have had closed threads or have broken the rules and were notified. They're just doing their job to keep things working smoothly here.

    Next time a mod tells you to clean up their act, take a moment to thank them for steering you in the right direction.

    Moderators are selected based on need, overall member performance and contributions, and other factors...

    Take a moment to browse our very large group of Team Members. If it weren't for them, this place would likely be a very shambled-looking collection of garbage posts and adverts. ^^
