It's not that he can't...it's that he shouldn't. But he also is trying to have an heir to try to kill Naraku if he (Miroku) dies before he succeeds in doing that.

Like I already said, it's not that he wouldn't be able to. His father and grandfather apparently had no problem being able to procreate, and they were both monks too. ::shrug::

i would have to say i wouldn't, but if he didin't have the wind tunnel sure why not. I don't see anything wrong with it. we all know miroku can't be trusted alone with girls thats also something else you have to think about be for you go off haveing his childern and stuff.

I think I've heard somewhere after my last post, in more recent episodes that I've watched, that the wind tunnel opens up in the son's hand after it finally consumes the father.

I thought Miroku said something about his wind tunnel opening up after his father's consumed him, so.. I guess it would be totally safe to have his kid.. until he dies, and then the child's hand will begin the ripping process, ect.

 

I don't actually recall Miroku saying that, but it makes sense to me. In a recent (filler) episode, where Miroku is remembering his father's death, we see him running toward the tornado that is his father dying, reaching toward his father with his right hand, sans air void and sans sealing rosary. So I believe it's safe to assume that it doesn't open until the father dies, yes. ^_^

so it is safe to have his child right? then here is my answer and of coarse i would! he is my favorite character out of all the anime and manga world anyways! i new i was right that having his child would be safe! but then i would havto learn all that fighting stuff cuz im not gonna be the type to jsut sit around waiting for miroku or the child to come back like chi-chi does when goku gohan and goten leave the house!
and if ur gonna have his child and r too scared to bein around him when hes tryin somethin funny on u, then dont have his child!!!

In the ep I saw last night (Miroku falls into a dangerous trap) it showed Miroku's father's death and Miroku there, as a child. He didn't have the wind tunnel in his hand, then..

So, I guess that makes it official, huh? I really felt horrible for the old lecherous monk last night. It was a sad ep for him. Especially when he was leaning on his father's grave, thinking he was about to die, and all those demons coming at him.. *sigh* Poor Miroku.

You know, nearly ever character in this little group has had a very tragic past, but they all carry on pretty well for it. The more I watch this show, the more I love it. They've all lost their loved ones and family, so they're making their own little family (even if they won't admit it). It's really a very touching story. I wish they would start coming out w/ more new eps soon. I can't wait to see where the story keeps going (through all 99+ eps of it!)

i u watch the ep. w/ the moth dude and he traps kagome them in cocoons extep inuyahsa and he tries to free them u know Mirokus dream were you see the ladeys dancing and mushin says like your fathers time has come and you see mushin holding moroku back and you see two hands and they both dont have wind tunnels but they all had inuyasha in their dream to help them conqure it too i esspecialy liked when he was human and turns into a hanyou that was cool
and when inuyasha was trying to get them out he was saying that kagome you have to be stonger and stuff well was he CRYING or was it blood?
