Okay, I could get myself into a lot of **** for even bringing this up, but I'm faced with one of those scruples things you always hear about.
It seems a good friend of mine from the floor has been selling some form of drugs or other from his room (an obvious violation of both the law and university policy). Like several of my floormates, I am concerned about this, and I don't know what I should do.
    I need advice. Please help.

    several options.

Do nothing, its not your problem, its theirs if they get caught.

Make a call to the police or University Staff and tell no one at all that it was you.

you and your concerned friends make the call together.

But realy if all it is is just pot id just live and let live. dont hang around them thats all.

but if its cocain or heroin, something like that.. then you should probably report it.

I'd go with his #1 advice, though, I don't know much about the rules and drugs over there [nor here], but if I were you, I wouldn't get myself into the middle of something dangerous.

But still, you know more than I do :)

Dont do anything, its probs just the guy selling pot to make some cash to keep himself, no major drug dealer would work from a college apartment, its most likely harmless so live and let live as Kame says.

If you report, then this friend of yours could find out that it was you who reported, then you'll have problems. Like everyone else said act as if it never happened. It is his matter not yours. So don't worry about it.

Dont worry, if you & a couple of others noticed it then that means he aint exactly good at hidding his business & will get caught soon enough by someone with some authority. So fret not & continue with your life, **** them

I favor neither complacency nor turning a blind eye. This is your friend were talking about, after all. Whatever affects him will affect you as well, though probably not in the way you think. This is your opportunity to help your friend and clear your conscience in the process.

What you should do is to confront your friend and make him aware of your concerns. Tell him that you have noticed his activity and that you are worried for him. Since you are a friend, tell him that you won't rat him out to the authorities but that other people might have noticed as well and they might let something slip. Try to convince your friend to stop his activities as it might get him in trouble. If, after everything, your friend is still obstinate, then rest assured that you've done everything you could. It's no longer your problem, but his; you've done your duty as a friend.

Yeah, you could do what she says...or you can just move on. Just because hes your friend doesnt mean you should actually get involved in the problems hes going through( i mean in situations like this) Friends are never a big factor in life in my opinion.

I don't know ... I'm thinking you might be right and I should just keep my mouth shut and mind my own business. If I see anything bad happening, then I'll have to act, but I guess it's just no harm, no foul. Still, I'd hate to have to do anything at all since that would get him kicked out of school.
    Nothing, for now.

If it were me I would act on my own reasoning rather than on the ridiculous ideals of society. I would logically see what is at stake in the situation; if it is more favorable to one end that is from which I shall strike upon. The fool is the one that does not show perception from every possible perspective; do not go amiss upon the aperture that holds the most advantageous result for you.

Let's hope drug dealer boy reads up on his Art of War, then :/

I'd agree with Chow here.... not many people deal drugs etc just for the hell of it, but because they're seriously in need of money.

    I hate you....

On topic, I agree with either Zelgadis or C-chan on what you should do.

It is true though....friends are not a big factor in life.
You have a life so you could live not live with your "friends".

Well in case your wandering...i do have friends.
Just dont depend on them so much neither do they depend on me.

Novus, i have a friend who is selling drugs at the moment........
he had told me that he didnt like it but he needs the money so i tried to hook him up with a job. I know that friends arent a big factor but sometimes you just need to help them. Just make sure you dont get hurt in the process.

AL why do you wish for things to be different....in my opinion i wouldnt want it to be different.
