Anime Most underrated anime?

    Can be movie, or series. But, what do you think is the most underrated anime?

    I would have to say...

    X/1999- So much good comes out this anime and i dont get why more people dont like it. It is one of the best animes i have ever seen.

    The most underrated anime would have to be Dia-Gaurd even thought they played it on CN for 2 episodes no one knows about it even thought it is a semi-plotless anime. But if you happen to have the time to watch a light hearted mecha anime watch this one I love it

    - Ruin Explorers
    - Nightwalker

    These two are only ones that I can think of at the moment....

    I've always thought Hand Maid May should have been better received... it had everything... cuteness, fan service, humor. Only other one I can think of without going through my collection is DNA2... it was well-received, but still didn't reach as high a mark as it deserved.

    memories
    robot carnival
    the wings of honneamise
    the winds of amnesia

    i think eva would have to be the most overrated

    Actually Urusei Yatsura was VERY popular in Japan back in the 80's.

    Currently watched one called Haibane Renmai, never heard of it anywhere else, so it seems to be pretty unknown.

    What i've seen so far in the first 6 episodes (of 13) is brilliant. Zero action, completely character driven, and stronger and better for it. Good animation, the characters are well thought out, and progress nicely, and the plot doesn't give in and show action when it isn't nessecary which is nice tbh.

    it's the forerunner for ranma and a few other very popular series today. though it'll never be licenced over here... (neither will ranma come to think of it.. :sad: )

    ah... australia. last check there were a total of about 250 dvd's licenced in australia. Alot less if you just count titles.x_x
