So this Piro fella is just coming all the way to Dublin just to ,uh..talk to a few people. I feel sorry for him!

actually my sense of humour is so great and advanced it has gone far beyond Megatokyo.

Joking aside. What do you guys like about it so much?

 

Exactly. It's a damn good doujinishi which has a good (awful love hina-ish) story running through it, and it has some really funny strips. Like that one on the plane, "Does anyone here speak 1337?" Classic.

 

Ah c'mon, I looked through at least 50 of those MegaTokyo thing and the humour is pis.s poor. I kinda like the drawing style but that's about it.

 

I've got a fair old dose of both but the place still suked.

 

If you're a computer nerd or gamer Penny Arcade is far superior.

I'm glad to see someone agree's with me about MegaTokyo.
The dudes a good artist I can't deny him that.
But it his art is a bit generic too. It just looks like a fanboy who can draw very well.

Am I the only one who finds his characters sappy and totally irritating?

And he does the whole "1337" speak. Which to be honest (sorry DL) I hate with a passion.

I though you said you weren't a geek DL? all this "1337" crap would make anyone think other wise.

And I think most people here are of the computer geek, nerd, gamer strain. So most probably get the humour.

I just don't find it funny.

oh and exitzone. Penny Arcade tottally ripped the crap out of John Romero too. And although I didn't read the ones where they did it in MegaTokyo I bet the Penny Arcade one is funnier.

And no offence to anyone but Mega Tokyo just screams "fanboy loser!"

 

Well, I am a gamer. I don't really care if you hate 1337, it's up to your discretion. I actualy started using it frequently after reading around 200 Megatokyo strips in one day, that kind of ****ed with my head. I don't actualy like PA that much, I find megatokyo better. Fanboy my arse.

 

Well I was really only kidding about going to the lecture to kill him.
So I'm actually not going at all.

Oh and read all of Penny Arcade it's one of the best comics on the net.

And the fanboy loser comment was directed at the writer of the comic.
