Saber Marionette question on JtoX ep 5

    Remember Bloodberry had that faint flashback image thing? What was that about? I didn't get the full picture of that part.

    This is a hot topic, apparently...

    Before I begin, I'll simply say my SMJ knowledge cuts off directly at episode 15 of J to X, so there may be an answer or connection past that that I'd rather not know...so please warn me if you would bring in anything that could spoil things for me...it is inevitable that I'll learn the whole story by accident anyhow, but I like trying to delay the inevitable as much as possible...

    Past that "disclaimer", here's my analysis once again:

    Bloodberry has a flashback following the comment that all three of the marionettes were first awakened by Otaru. She whispers something aloud like "What is this feeling?" and then, internally, a small collection of memories flash.

    It shows her in a rage somewhere in Japoness, and is overlain with the fountain statue she was awakened from.

    My current conclusion based on what's presented:

    Otaru was not the original person to awaken Bloodberry. Somewhere in the past she had a previous owner, and something went irrevocably wrong. In the end, the only solution they had was to seal her in the Nioh Statue... if this isn't brought up again by the end of J to X, perhaps this little scene was inserted for the sake of possible continuation of the SMJ series?

    Anyways, I'll conclude with the usual blurb: That's my thoughts, and they don't necessarily spout truth in any way...

    Actually, to the best of my knowledge, the 'incident' isn't brought up again in J to X. Remember though that I watched it all pretty much on a binge (in three days o_O), so I could be wrong when I say this.

    Previous owner.... wow, that's a very interesting thought. Well, perhaps what went wrong was her unstabled strength. She was out of control when she's first created, and somehow, when Otaru awakened her, Bloodberry was more stable.

    Oooo.... leading to a sequel? I keep my hopes up ^-^ Besides, it would make a good SMJ movie if not sequel!

    Hmm.. Akashi...good guess! *imagines* hmm..what would Akashi think of Bloodberry later though? Would she reconize her. I wonder, according to BakaMattsu's guess, how did Bberry get sealed away again? I do wonder...:p

    Mayhaps.

    As for my wild guessing part on what happened - I'd say whomever she was previously awakened by somehow bit the dust, and she went ballistic... Somehow admist the sealing they managed to remove the whole incident from her memories...

    It could be linked to a comment Yang Ming makes in episode 15 of J to X...?

    "Otaru Mamiya will be lost to them, and through the magic of the Otome Circuit, they will find a new lover"

    Raises a lot of questions of what could possibly happen when a character such as Faust or Otaru got "knocked off"...

    No wonder (Echiko pointed out to me) that Bloodberry was sealed in a statue rather than a capsule like Lime and Cherry.
