As everyone is well aware there are different forms of measuring food in different countries. I wanted to try something but I had to convert it. So, I decided to help others hence the name Recipe Helper. I hope some people don’t mind. And if you have any you have seen please add some or even correct me.

I’ll take the U.S. metric; it is pretty close to the metric system anyway.

    Measurements

    Teaspoon
    1 teaspoon = 60 drops
    3 teaspoons = 1 tablespoon

    Tablespoon
    1 tablespoon = 14.8 ml = 3 teaspoons = 0.5 fluid ounce
    2 Tablespoons = 1 fluid ounce
    4 Tablespoons = 1/4 Cup
    5 1/3 Tablespoons = 1/3 Cup
    8 Tablespoons = 1/2 Cup
    16 Tablespoons = 1 Cup

    Cups
    1/4 cup = 4 tablespoons
    1/3 cup = 5 tablespoons + 1 teaspoon
    1/2 cup = 8 tablespoons
    2/3 cup = 10 tablespoons + 2 teaspoons
    3/4 cup = 12 tablespoons
    1 cup = 16 tablespoons
    2 cups liquid = 1 pound

    1 cup = 48 teaspoons
Just times every tbsp by 3 to get the exact teaspoons per cup size.

    1 cup= 8 fluid ounces (fl oz)
    2 cups= 1 pint (pt)
    4 cups = 1 quart

    Pint
    1 pint= ½ quart

    Quart
    One quart = 0.9463 liters = 2 pt = 32 fl oz = 4 cups = 64 Tbs.
    1 quart = ¼ gallon
    8 quarts = 1 peck

    Peck
    4 pecks = 1 bushel

    Gallon
    1 gallon = 4 qt = 8 pt = 16 cups
    1 gallon = 3.785 liters = 128 fluid ounces
    2 gallon = 1 peck

    Ounces *dry*
    16 ounces = 1 pound
    1 ounce = 28.35 grams

    Fluid Ounces *liquid*
    1 ounce fluid = 29.57 milliliter = 2 Tablespoons.

    Grams
    453.6 grams = 1 pound
    680.4 grams = 1 and ½ pound
    28.35 grams = 1 ounce
To convert from Grams to Ounces, simply divide the grams by 28.35
To convert from Ounces to Grams, simply multiply the ounces by 28.35

    Misc.
1 milliliter (ml) = 1 cubic centimeter (cc)
    1 inch (in) = 2.54 centimeters (cm)
    12 inches= 1 foot
    1 yard= 3 feet

You can do the small math in between each one. I have yet to see a recipe call for anything over a yard :p.

As you can see most of these are not really close. I just depending on what it is to use close to like meat you can. Others like vinegar I would use less.
