This is the copy of a mail i exchanged with the author of "Saber dolls G" about the saber dolls. Many good ideas came out of it.

    =============================

More thoughts. If you came to read "sooner or later - a
saber dolls fic" in fanfiction.net you would notice how
much Tiger is in love with Faust. Her attitude towards him
seems somewhat out of character - more motherly than in
love. In other words Tiger _adores_ Faust. Her wish would
be a kiss from him. Or maybe faust letting _HER_ kiss him.

Of course, Faust has feelings for Tiger too.

    =========
A little insight in the SMJ original novels:

Hess is actually Faust the 1st, and always loved Lorelei
(who died during the mesopotamia accident - only a few
cells remain alive in stasis) but with time he fell in love
with Mesopotamia, whose marionette body was identical to
    Lorelei.
Faust never became good, he wanted war to gain the
necessary power to abduct women from Earth - when he found
out Earth was gone, he lost it completely and began
shooting at everyone until Hess (Faust 1st) shot him.

And in the storyline, we don't see Faust doing something
about Lorelei - he always stays near his marionettes, like
Otaru does with his. So I would say the Saber Dolls drama
is who will be the one marrying Faust. As Otaru treats the
marionettes as her daughters, Faust gives his Saber Dolls a
different treatment. They're not children, and therefore
have different desires and thoughts regarding him.

I don't know if Tiger knows about _sex_, she seems to love
Faust in a non-lusty way (compare with the Saber Dolls in J
Again, they lust after Faust, but Tiger says Fausto-Sama is
    her true love).

Still, her love for him is not as innocent as Lime's. Lime
would want to sleep in Otaru's shoulder. Tiger would want
to sleep WITH Faust. See what I mean? To the day, I still
don't know who loves her master more - Lime, or Tiger.
Perhaps the same, it's just a different kind of love.

While the SMJ girls settle the fight over Otaru (and that's
one of hte reasons for Lime to want to become human), the
saber dolls seem to be rather quiet about that matter - we
_NEVER_ see them fighting over faust. They just want to
    learn to seduce him.

This makes me wonder if their love for him changes with
time, as before, it was a programmed and rather codependant
and psychologically sick love. For me, they still don't see
the REAL possibility of being with Faust... yet.

How does that change? How does Faust talk to them? Does he
treat them equally? Always in trio? Notice they never split
from him unlike Otaru's marionettes who have a life on
their own. The saber dolls' life _IS_ Faust himself. When
they learn to cook, they do it for Faust.

This makes me think they still haven't matured their maiden
circuits yet. At the end of JtoX #5, they are still trying
to achieve Lime's maturity level. And even if they reach
maturity as marionettes, they need to begin to mature as
    people.

Panther does not reach Puberty yet, for example.
Does Luchs ********** thinking in faust? (That's a
possibility, but we don't really know). What do they dream
of? What are their desires, their fears?

What do they do when they're not sticking to Faust like if
    glued?

When Faust is away, how does Tiger's relationship with Lime
evolve? Lime has only 2 best friends: Marine in the first
place, and Tiger in second. How is that relationship? Do
    they ever play?

Panther. She's tough, that's for sure, just as Bloodberry,
but she is more loose than her and likes seeing things with
easy. A cup (or bottle) of Sake makes her forget about her
    troubles.

Will she fall in love, just as Bloodberry did with Akashi?
    People grow, you know.
What will happen with Luchs? Her natural instinct is
motherhood. Will she have the time or chance to develop it?
What would have happened if she had been the first in being
built? (Interesting thought, but for your current storyline
that's not implementable). But what if somehow she got a
transfer of Tiger's memories regarding faust? That would
change a lot of things, don't you think?

    (to be continued...)

    PART 2 - idea for a fic

Imagine this. Panther and Luchs receive Tiger's memories
(just as Marine did by accident). How would their feelings
for Faust change? How would their feelings for Tiger
change? Would they fear losing Faust to Tiger? Would they
envy Tiger, or pity her? Would they feel sorry for lusting
    after her true love?

How would Tiger feel after her secret feelings for Faust
are exposed? Would she feel frightened? Would she run away
in pain? Would she blush? Would she ever dare to see Luchs
and Panther face to face, ever again, knowing that they
KNOW about her feelings for him?

How would the three react to this mixture of feelings and
    confusion?

How would Lime and the saber girls do about this?

Will they have to fear Losing (forever) their master? Have
they even THOUGHT about it, just as Lime does when Otaru
gets sick? (Um maybe you haven't reached this part of JtoX
    yet).

JtoX doesn't give the chance to the saber dolls to mature
more - their personality remains the same even years after.

Now this seems interesting. Before, in Gartland, Faust kept
them in the same room (possibly barracs?) and they lived in
a military lifestyle. What happens when Faust decides to
give them separate rooms to sleep in? What would they think
    about, having privacy for themselves?

Notice that Faust doesn't return to Gartland as a governor
    - in JAgain we see he abdicates - what will happen to the
government of the new free gartland? See what happened in
Poland after the fall of communism. Does society degenerate
    i.e. sexually, bars, drugs, etc?

Will people there start to form evil gangs? What will Faust
do about this - specially when all the people despise him?
(Oh yes, they do, nobody in Poland has a sincere
appreciation for communism. Unlike Germany (and this is
something to think about), Gartland didn't teach the race
superiority to the people. Big mistake. Faust let the
people starve to death, and have their own thoughts. A much
more efficient approach would be giving education even the
poorest people. (I'm not saying it's not evil to educate
them with Faust's ideas, i'm just saying it would be much
    more EFFICIENT).

But Faust caused the destruction of his own country,
realizing that as a ruler, he has many mistakes to ammend.
With some people still believing in the superiority of the
Arian race, and other people embracing neotexan or japoness
ideas, the most probable thing is that Gartland will split
in 2 or 3 separate countries, with internal and civil wars
    all over.

Mafias will arise, just as the russian after the
Perestroika. How will faust deal with this? He can't.
Trying to help and amend his mistakes, he finds his
reputation is a big obstacle. The democrats despise him for
his government - while the Arianists despise him for
    betraying his own ideas.

There is (very probably) a plot to assasinate Faust, but
the two teams fight over who will do it first. The saber
dolls have to protect him and get him away from the city.
Perhaps very few people (unconditional followers? Friends
of Otaru?) will help Faust run away in the sewers and
    escape prosecution.

But then there's the health. Gartland's health conditions
are extremely poor, specially under the sewers. The most
probable thing is that Faust will catch a disease. (Saber
    dolls GtoP)?

Again, this will influence the Saber Dolls. What will be
    Tiger's reaction? Panther? Luchs?

Still, in Peterburg Faust has a much greater chance to have
the sympathy (or tolerance) of the people. Perhaps they
    will meet new friends.

Another trio of marionettes maybe? Maybe this is why the
saber dolls were away so much time when Otaru's girls were
    battling Hess.

And I'm pretty darn sure that Panther will fall in love
with a sturdy and tough mountain man who cuts trees for a
living. So maybe she starts to _LIVE_ with him (and yes,
having sex with him) leaving Faust with Tiger and Luchs.

Or perhaps she suffers a disappointment? heartbroken? How will she deal about it, knowing that she is not the one who Faust loves? Who will cure her broken heart? Will she ever find happiness? How much time in loneliness before she finds new friends, or a true love?

Anyway, one less to compete for Master Faust's love. Still,
Luchs knows about Tiger's love for Lord Faust.

How will this matter be settled? What more adventures will
they have? How will all of this affect their maiden
circuits maturity? Will they have to make a sacrifice to,
save a life for example? Will they become heroines? Perhaps
Luchs will meet a young boy, about 10 to 13 at age and her motherly instinct springs out. She begins to
    experience the joy of motherhood.

Who will she choose? The young boy, or her love Faust? She
knows she can only have one. Now let's imagine the boy is
homeless. Will they adopt him? Or perhaps she will adopt
him and find a living? Perhaps when she returns with Master
Faust for some extreme situation, she leaves her boy to
live with some friend? (wow... Luchs as mother... imagine
that - at least she knows how to cook now :p )

The surprise is, her boy left home to go with her! (you can
include this in the drama). How will she react? Will he get
in danger somehow? Will he die? or survive? Oh yes i can
imagine the scene, she smacks him, crying, reprimanding him
for exposing his life so carelessly.

As you can see, all you need to do is get inside the minds
of the characters and the story will FLOW. (You can use my
    ideas however you want).

Ok, first i agree with u in many points but there are some things ur not considering

The love that Lime feels its totally different from Tigers one, for example as u could saw in Saber j Tiger said she would die for his master while Lime wanted to live for his master, and again the love Limes feel its a pure inocence in j

Untill saber J again this was the kind of love that Lime felt, but once she reached puberty she started to really love him.

You mentioned something about the feelings of Otaru for his marionettes, personally i dont think he loved them as daughters, (obviusly once the neomesopotamy blew and he found the clones secret he had finally the chance to protect them being their father) but i think the real feeling of Otaru was love especially for Lime. I mean if u could give him a chance he would choose being her lover than father.

As u may have realized the last comentary of Otaru b4 they aboarded the neomesopotamy was : " You're all my girlfriends, u hear me?" And taht makes u think you know

And i been reading ur fanfics luvewav and i since then i been thinking bout our totally different points of view (the trilogy specially) for some reason when Otaru fell in love with lorelei in ur ff i felt totally depressed, and i was like "no this is wrong..."
I dont wanna say much bout my ff cause soon i'll post them and give u guys the link (damn i good) but ill just say that after the neomesopotamy blew the life of all the people in terra 2 changed dramatically and...Otaru dies..(WHAT? THIS GUY IS MAD) u must be thinking but i just ask you to wait ^^

Ok i think i said too much, come back to this world!! ok like i was saying the love that Tiger felt was totally different because , Faust was her fiurer and she couldnt fall in love but once again in Sm J again when she realize he love her 2 , its when she reach the total maturity, admits her love and finally she gets her price (;))

And from there i agree in all of ur commentaries.
I would like to talk with you by messenger or something by the way.
    Laterz

My very own thoughts is that Luchs, Panther and Tiger have the same feelings for their master. They are really in love with him, although he treats them only just a more sophisticated version of the Krieger sabers. Faust doesn't understand the true meaning about how to make an otome circuit 100% mature, until one of the last chapters of SMJ, when he hears Tiger (at that moment in a comatose state) saying him once again how nice were the flowers,...he then realizes that all that he had done in the past 300 years to reach Lorelei were in vain, and that he didn't have to treat the saber dolls as if they were merely machines.

I think that this one is his big mistake, and the issue repeats itself in the manga and in the novel version. Any kind of being, no matter if it were made of carbon or not, that can share love, must be loved in return.

The three saber dolls love Faust. Withour mentioning Tiger, Luchs cries for the first time when she's sent by her master and Faust tells her "please come back and don't die!". Panther has a huge depression in J to X when it comes the "double Faust" episode. Unable to fight against her friends, and feeling at the same time that she has betrayed her master, she doesn't finds any other way to go on. Tiger is a bit more tragical, as you might guess what could've happened (But luckily Faust saves her).

Then if I have to say who will stay more closely to Faust, I think that Tiger has to, but again, the three saber dolls love him. Faust, anyways, has lost the kind of thing that is at full capacity in Otaru, a way of sharing his own feelings and let him to fell completely in love with his saber dolls. In the fic that Luvweaver let us read (about the saber dolls) this thing appears clearly

Well, and hear ends a long and not very well written reply :)
