Recently, I was fliping through TV stations, and i came upon one(YTV) that was showing Inu-Yasha. I was really happy/excited untill i learned that it was dubbed and editied. This "new" version is absolutely disgusting and is a slap in the face for the anime comunity. Please help save Inu-Yasha by signing the petition below.

You can have edited Inu Yahsa or you can have not at all. Different broadcast standards.

Since when is watching it on TV the only way to see it?If you were truely dedicated, you would seek out the DVDs and watch it subtitled and unedited.

Your right, BlueCrow. There's nothing wrong with watching all your anime on TV, but... come on. If you really want to be a good old Inu Yasha otaku, you'd buy them and like BC said, watch em' unedited. I haven't found ANY dub that's good yet, with the exception of Bebop. And by putting Inu on YTV, it's sort of like taking a bad dub, chopping it in peices, and showing it to children. Kinda like Sailor Moon.

for some of us who live in small towns (like me), its hard to find places that sell anime. the only place i have access to is a music store called sound shop. and it only sells things like sailor moon and dragonball z, you know, the mainstream stuff in the US. so for some of us, it would be easyest to get good, unedited (i emphasize that) anime on tv. the only place ive found near me is in AL(alabama)....:sweat2: and thats a state away from me.

petitions never work for one thing. And for another Cartoon Network is showing it un cut and in all it's glory. All they took off was the bad language like the f word and so on.

If you have Cartoon Network, watch it there. If not, either download or buy.

And here I was thinking YTV had good stuff cause they got the nw episodes of Hey Arnold! sooner than Nick does.

Americans are prudes. If it's not shown late at night, then it's very likely to be edited (and they even do some edits for the Adult Swim version, like airbrushing out the centipede chick's chest). You just have to deal.

As basher19 said, if you've got the internet, you can order Inuyasha online. The "Introduction to Inuyasha" thread stickied at the top of this forum will give you several links for buying the series.

The dub on YTV ISN'T THAT BAD. it's aired at 11:00 my time (10:00 for most) and Inu Yasha is still using his swears, (from bastard to ***). So shut up, I saw nothing wrong with this dub and it is not being feed to little kids at 3:00 o clock pm.

If anything, how come there aren't petitions abotu how 4Kids should be banned from dubbing anime ENTIRLY?! How come there aren't petitions about how FLCL was tooken off CN due to that idiotic woman!? There are better things to petition about, ffs.

I agree in that the dub wasn't toooo bad, I would rate it an OK dub. It's true CN said they didn't edit ANYTHING out of the one season, and they still swear (wow) and yeah... I just think the voice acting could be better :p

There are very few very good dubs. Most range from tolerable to wincing, and some are outright terrible. One of the rare exceptions is Kingdom Hearts, which has an outstanding dub.

The Inuyasha dub, in my opinion, isn't bad. It could be way worse (the Saiyuki dub comes to mind...), but yes, it could be better. ::shrug:: Ocean Group is actually decent as far as dubbing groups go.
