Okay, I just watched Macross Zero episode 1 again (got it a few months ago and had it lying on my hdd since then) and I really wanna see the rest, so have a few questions.

    1) Are all Macross Zero episodes out?

    2) What's the best order to watch the series's and movies in?

So far only episodes 1-3 of Zero are out.

I cant remember the total episodes(I think there is 5 or 6), but they are being released a few months between them. About 4-6 months for each episode to be released.

As for the best order to watch the serise's...

I would go mainly with the timeline, so I would start with,

    Macross Zero(if fully released)
    SDF:Macross
Macross DYRL( its upto you but it is practicly a movie round up of the serise)
Macross II( also, up to you. I watched, and as many fans I know, do not like it, and its not reguarded as Macross, lol)
    Macross 7
and finaly I would finish with Macross Plus since for me its more stand alone from the original shows.

However, if you wish to include Robotech...
Id go with Robotech serise after all listed above.
I would also reccomend you watch SDC:Southern Cross and Genesis Climber Mospaeda in any order just to see the originals that made parts 2 and 3 of the Robotech Serise.

You also have the Robotech II Movie, but I'd only realy reccomend it if your just curious about Robotech.

In my opinion, you should watch the series in the order they were released, from oldest to newest (if possible).

That way, Macross Zero would have its intended effect as a prequel-type. This because they might mention something that makes you understand what was happening in the other shows - when you're not meant to yet.

Of course, I haven't been able to fully watch most of the series (Plus, II and Zero so far), so... feel free to disregard my opinion in this case :)
