Anime Spriggan - the movie

A great movie that was in some cinema's there not so long ago is on its way to DVD this summer.

Based on the manga striker or spriggan in japan , the film is directed by the writer of akira, Katsuhiro Otomo. Its basically an anime action movie with some amazing animation. Storyline, as with any action film, is pretty slim, and the film is more a no-brainer than anything else.

The Spriggan's are a national protection agency for lost artifacts from previous civilisations, in the movie it centers around their protection of noah's ark, recently found in the north pole and mainly on one spriggan , Yu ominae , a super-human school kid.

Cue explosions, fights and a decent storyline as well.

that movie was really cool, the animation was well done too!...the Noah's ark part is a little contraversial though...but it is fiction, so hey!

ahhh nevermind, I'm just being a baka....it is said by the otaku's I hang around with anyways...(people from the WAVE at Western) that if you haven't seen Spriggan you haven't seen real anime, some say Akira and Ghost in the Shell...but I say Spriggan!!

 

Yeah Spriggan is a real good movie i got it on vhs fansubbed from an anime club called the wave!

 

I wouldn't say anything like that, spriggan is an action film as far as the anime section goes.
The chunk it lacks in any major plot , it makes up for in action and explosions and martial arts etc.

I'd say you haven't seen an anime movie until you've seen something like well.... berserk the series , even tho it isn't a movie

Always like films about a strong hero that goes up against a guy with godly powers gets his *** kicked in but still fights back..

I liked spriggan but ninja scroll is defenitly the best anime movie i've seen

 

Well spriggan its pretty good movie, it combines both action and
violence we all like (i think) and the soundtrack its pretty good 2 but i think they could have done a better storyline.

 

I love it and have the dvd
