Well, it's con season, folks, and conventions mean cosplay. What Inuyasha-related cosplay plans do people have?

For me, I'm hoping to have the re-do of my Sesshoumaru costume from last year finished to wear at Anime Expo in July.

I'm going to an anime expo in July as well, and if you even have to guess who I'm going as, then, well... you're rather hopeless.

Hah, j/k, I'm going as Kagome 'o course. Still trying to convince a friend of mine to come with me as Sango, but overall, I can't wait! I was only introduced to anime (other then DBZ) in about July of last year, so naturally, this is going to be my first anime expo. Should be fun, though. ^_^

i cosplayed for the first time and went to my first con about a week ago at Anime North in Toronto. Greatest time ever. Most people cosplayed characters from Naruto...then InuYasha was second. i played as InuYasha. there were so many Kagome's....all around....one would go up to you and just yell, "osuwari!" then walk away...*sighs* but it was fun. except for the part when some chick came and put me and 4 of the billion InuYashas running around the place on a dog leash and started to drag us around...okay, i had fun with that. oh, and there was A pimp Miroku! and Jakotsu *faints*! ha ha, sorry for the babbling:D :sweat2:

i'm going to another con in Toronto called CNAnime...and maybe to a brand new one which is only going to be a day this year *longer next* and i REALLY want to go to OTAKON in Baltimore!!! i just need to find some one to go with...who isn't broke*Looks down* but for the rest of this year, i'm gonna stick with my InuYasha outfit. it's fun and i got the InuYasha voice actors to sign it too:D

Heh, I suppose the reason so many go as Kagome is because her costume is incredibly easy to pull off, not to mention the fact that she's the love interest of "that hot Inuyasha" -_-.

I was actually thinking of changing my mind to Kagura or Kikyo, preferably Kagura since her costume would be rather fun, though somewhat difficult to pull off. Still deciding between Kagura and Kagome, though. Anyway, I can't wait!

if i were you Kagome's Arrow, i would choose Kagura. but i'm not, so blah. the reason i would pick Kagura is because less people cosplay as her. i remember at Anime North their were so many Kagome's and Kikyou's, but only one Kagura so she really stood out. a lot of people wanted her in the InuYasha group pics. but for example, if a Kagome was needed, all you had to do was turn your head and one would prolly be there. ha, not that it's bad to be her or anything.

i attached an image of the lone Kagura in a group pic at this thread if you wanna see:p i'm near the left doing some crazy claw...thingy

Here's a tip though...do NOT go as Naraku...or you won't leave the con alive.

    Wow, nice costume wing_goddess!

As it stands, I have no idea how to get one for myself. Do you buy these costumes or do you need to make them yourself? If so, where do you buy them?

you can make the costume yourself or just buy it from somewhere. most cosplayers make their own though. if you want to just buy it, then Ebay would be good *don't worry, no used costumes* that's where i bought some of the "InuYasha items" i needed. you can also go to www.cosplay.com that's the best site for cosplay help. Aww, and thx for the compliment on the costume

Hawaii really isn't the place for that. the main thing we see here in maybe a pokemon card game thing. But, I plan to make a costume for Halloween, maybe then after, i can go to a convetion... but ti'll then... I think i might go as Inuyasha or something :sweat2:

Good job, I think we may be able to take you out of intense therapy soon! :D

Anyway Noda, good luck on getting an Inuyasha costume! Blech, I tried to make a Kagome costume, but I can't sew for beans. Then I thought of buying one until I saw they were all like... 100 dollars apiece. So I may not go cosplaying at all this year (but I still plan on attending the convention).

Yup, welcome Noda! Hope you enjoy yourself here! It's always great to see another Inuyasha fan on the boards ^^

OmG i HatE KaGoMe's ArRoW CuZ ShE iS MeAn NoW ShE ShOuLd DyE MayBe I ShoLd kiLL YoU! still have that quote stuck in my head *rocks back and forth* Oh, and did you try to go to any costume shop near you and see if they could make you a Kagome outfit? it could work, and also might be cheaper...maybe.

Yay! it's final that next year i'm "crossplaying" as super cool Bankotsu. i'm making a 6-7 foot sword and already set with some chick who i don't know but is crossplaying as InuYasha to have a fight at a convention...so my sword has to be made tough...rats...that sword will be heavy...need to think happy kicking arse thoughts! a whole script is being made and the news has been posted at the con's site and no objections from the people in charge yet *evil grin* WAAHHH! it's so far away though *cries*

THANK YOU!!! Actually in art i made these dog ears, I attached them to my head with tape, and a few inuyasha fans in my class go "i think i wanna... touch em'" But anyways, that's for welcoming me in to the 'forum family', Now I'm gonna stop spamming...

Actually, scratch out everything i said about an 'if'. there IS one!
    http://www.kawaii-kon.org/

    Yay! :anime:
but yeah, even if there isn't a cosplay, maybe Halloween i could do somthing with my friends... anthough i'm a bit too old for it... but hey ther are older. Go house to house an play change the world and say "Trick or Treat! We're wondering is you can donate a little candy to the 'Destroy Naraku Foundation"

    Good luck on Bankotsu wing_goddess!

Really weird Halloween story! I was giving out candy and then all of a suden this girl (about 8) came in a Kagome out fit that wasnt reallt fitting her well. It was hillarious. I had to bite my tounge so i woulden't laugh. But It was either she watched the show, or she just said to her dad "I wanna be Sailor Moon"

NoDa thanks for the extra luck on the Bankotsu outfit:D *cries* i need it since this will basically be the first costume i'm going to be making myself (cause i didn't make my last one) and the sword too:p

You should try and see if you can cosplay or crossplay as some one for the Hawaii con. Who cares if not too many people dress up, then it'll only mean more picture taking of you because lots of people bring cameras to take pics. Then you'll feel famous:D or like one Japanese guest said to me in "it'll make you feel like a rock star"

A warning if you're going as InuYasha...there are people crazy enough that they even bring leashes so that they can put the first InuYasha they see on it *shrudders* and if you get caught...do as they say...

Oh, and if you ever need help with your costume you can message me or go to cosplay.com and post a thread in their forum. Lots of people reply right away which is a good thing:D they also have instructions on how to make things too, like InuYasha's Tessaiga.

There should be. if not, some little event in relation to anime should be. Go to www.cosplay.com and look around in the conventions section. If you still aren't sure, or can't find any, i recommend you post a thread asking so, because since there's thousands of people there you'll get a reply quickly. I can't think of any cons around your area off the top of my head...

Actually there was a con. less then a month ago in good 'ol Cali (forget the exact location) though I was forced to miss it due to family troubles and whatnot. However, three or four friends of mine had the opportunity to attend, and all said that while it was highly enjoyable, very few people actually cosplayed.
